I'm sure they would but,I don't own either of those though.
So we're not going on experience, just on hunches knowing heat mechanics.
As said before, I may not even be right.
I do own a Cellini freehand that is very canted forward. It's a beautiful pipe in my opinion
but, I wont smoke it for fear of getting a burnout started. I baby my pipes too much some think but,
when I'm dead and gone they'll still be here to be enjoy by the next.

Though your knowledge of heat mechanics is technically correct, in the scale of the bowl of a pipe and the temp/ size of the heat in a lit bowl of tobacco, the angle of the horn/cutty/zulu is much less of a problem than one would think. The way most "clinchers" let their pipes dangle, we would ALL have burnt out pipes if your theory were true.

Carta - Since you aren't smoking that neglected freehand, I am willing to adopt itand give it some love.

You very well could be right Jefe but, when you live under Murphy's Law as I do, you can't afford to take a chance.
Oh! :suspect: I'll just keep that Cellini in my collection, it's well taken care of and has plenty of company.

can we get back to talking about how awesome my 3,000 dollar horn is gonna look?

I will give you a 50% discount on said $3,000 horn pipe

you should definitely make it. and charge $3k for it. who knows, someone might buy it! you can buy hella briar and stock with that!

that being said, i wouldn't buy one. i think i would look silly smoking it. oh and i don't have $3k

if the briar is as flawless as it looks from the outside, and I shape it as well as I have pictured...

I could see charging 350 I am not a top dog, I am just a peon

Then again, if you are right wouldn't zulus and cuttys have the same problem?
I have several Zulus and one Cutty. You need to clean the tar off the back of the rim after every smoke, and they will get a patina in that area regardless. That said, they're light and are great shapes for comfort and good looks. The more diagonal the chamber, the greater the hit to smoking characteristics. I owned one Danish horn, and I think it made it through 4 bowls before I was convinced that diagonal chambers were a bad idea.

The horn is one of those shapes we admire, but no one buys. I think the most radical cant a bowl can have and still be a good smoker is probably this Castello catalog shape.

The nicest looking horn I ever saw was this Ponomarchuk, but it isn't a pipe I'd want to own or look forward to smoking, it's art.
