I rec'd Pink Floyds new "Dark Side of the Moon - Experience" set (2 cd's). Wow, that a great rework of one of my favorite of all time albums. If you are a PF fan, you'll love these new reissues. I'll wait to till the price drops a bit before getting the next one.

I have no idea what the music is, I'm just posting this here on the hopes some of you smoked way too much Virginia and are feeling woozy. :drunken: :drunken: :drunken:

One of the best rock & roll albums ever and a huge favorite of mine. Notice the name on my chopper seat in my Avatar. Riff Raff, Downpayment Blues, R&R Dammnation and more, that album never gets old to me. I miss Bon Scott AC/DC.....

Two of my favorite singers on stage together... I remember when this was performed in 1998. Wow, has it really been that long??? *sigh*

Something liberating to bring in the New Year.....

Lyrics.....

The world is my expense
The cost of my desire
Jesus blessed me with its future
And I protect it with fire
So raise your fists
And march around
Just don't take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or I'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Hey, hey
Sleep now in the fire

Hey, hey
Sleep now in the fire

The lie is my expense
The scope of my desire
The party blessed me with its future
And I protect it with fire
I am the Nina The Pinta The Santa Maria
The noose and the rapist
The fields overseer
The agent of orange
The priests of Hiroshima
The cost of my desire
Sleep now in the fire

Hey, hey
Sleep now in the fire

Hey, hey
Sleep now in the fire

For it's the end of history
It's caged and frozen still
There is no other pill to take
So swallow the one
That made you ill
The Nina The Pinta The Santa Maria
The noose and the rapist
The fields overseer
The agent of orange
The priests of Hiroshima
The cost of my desire
To Sleep now in the fire

"...and now, time for the Weather Report..."

(...bring the umbrella...) 8)

AWW CRAP

Watch/listen to it here, it's worth it, or just listen to it. I swear. It's good.

I'm listening to Bach's B Minor Mass directed by Otto Klemperer

Love the Sanctus - the first section with the sopranos lilting above the chorus reminds one of the angels in heaven.

Tom - Classical music geek

You Get What You Play For - Their best overall album, IMHO. I'd forgotten how much these guys can really rock (when they want to)...

Pretty odd. Sounds what a Devo intrumental tune might be. Whole thing is in 6/4 time. Where do you find this stuff?

This is Technical Death Metal. It doesn' t get much mainstream attention but you really have to hand it to these guys. This stuff is very complicated, ant the players are nailing the **** out of it. Has much more in common with jazz than heavy metal. From an ensemble precision standpoint these guys are on the level of a good classical string quartet. Really.

That's a wild drum setup,,, this guy is triggering electronic drum pads with his feet?

Interesting music,,,,gotta check into this a little more
