Loved this song in the 70s and still love it today. :D

Stephen Stills - self titled. Vinyl of course. Converting to 24bit 96kHz FLAC files for the laptop at work.

For you guys that don't know. This is a sanity preservation project. Trying to survive until retirement. High quality FLAC files, the laptop connected to a Maverick Audio D2 Tubemagic DAC, feeding an old MAC 1900 receiver. A beat up pair of Kenwood speakers completes the work system. Low volume levels, but quality to shame MP3's and CD's. 72 albums converted so far. :sunny:

Glad to hear you got that working Carlos.

For some reason, I've been smitten by this song lately. Here's the original by the doll who wrote it, Jackie De Shannon. Notice how she winked at me.

In 1964 The Searchers had a bigger hit with Jackie's song than she did in 1963. Here's a live rendition by the boys from 2009. Pretty good for a bunch of aging rockers.

And here's Springsteen's version, done with suitable Boss-like intensity:

Actually, one of the versions that has the most soul and sexitwang (for me) is the version done by The Ventures on their Knock Me Out album, but I couldn't find a video of it with clean audio.

Glad you liked it Tony. I heard them for the first time a few weeks ago and have really liked them.

Simpleman, I can see why. It's damn good stuff.

Forgot to add... I'm currently cranking Brand X's album "Product".

For Simpleman and anyone that digs them, here's a webcast of a Carolina Chocolate Drops show.

My absolute favorite rendition of Caravan
