I like sitting on the back porch and listen to the sounds while smoking my pipe. Tonight was fun while I smoke Boswell's Best. Wind blowing on the dry leaves making raspy sounds. Cat on my lap staying warm. Then you hear it in the woods. Steps. Slow but steady. Then in the corner of the yard you hear a crash of leaves from a deer jumping. Cat, of course, has to jump up and investigate. Lot of deer moving around ahead of the storm.
