Relaxing after a wonderful salad, filet mignon, mushrooms and green beans dinner with a small scoop of vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. I'm now smoking SWRA in a straight black sandblast undated Savinelli Hercules 115EX pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Getting set to watch an episode of The Untouchables.
View attachment 762Wow, I am jealous. Not of the pipe but that you had filet mignon. My sirloin was very good but nothing beats a good filet.

The meat shop m'lady goes to gives a great deal on the filet. Otherwise, we could never afford it. I eat it as much for the lean meat content (great for my diet) as the quality of meat.
Costco does have good meat at good prices, and we stock up when they have sales, too. I agree that $18 a pound is a lot of money, and we don't do that either.Yep, usually get ours from Costco when on sale. Will not pay $18 a lb for meat no matter how much I like it. When on sale for $12 we stock up. I like that it's lean but prepared right, med/ rare still red in the middle, it's the best tasting steak out there.
