I got a pipe in the mail, a Hardcastle Special Selection. It's an extra large bent billiard. It came from a pawn shop in Eureka, CA. The pipe was unsmokeable when it arrived, but I opened up the draft hole. It had a big donut of cake in the bowl, and I reamed it until it broke my Senior pipe reamer, which was fixable. I sanded down the rim , and I'm giving the bowl a salt and isopropyl alcohol bath overnight, along with a meerschaum and a Charatan that needed it. I'm excited to show pictures tomorrow! This feller's big.

After barbecue chicken and tomato salad I'm enjoying Drucquer Casbah in a Pride and a glass of Lambrusco.
Lambrusco, really? As much as you like Latakia blends, you should try some porto wine. Livingston Cellars is pretty good and fairly cheap. Port wine brings out the flavor of Latakia.

I enjoy port wine and in colder weather I'll drink Warré. It's high in alcohol and calorie intensive. The Lambrusco has half the alcohol and is good chilled. Red Moscato is also good chilled so between the two it's price that wins. Lambrusco is currently $7.99 for the large 1.5L bottle.
new baby peacock!
Hatchlings and their families are fun to watch. We've had a couple of goslings that were shown the ropes by their flock which were fun to observe!
