1/16 in, "You have a fine steady hand." 🙂 That's about the best I can do without a shredder. I use my Kuhn Rikon Kulu blade.

I use this razor knife, and it allows me to shave off thin slices. I just hold the plug tight with the other hand and get that knife to bite in. Bet it would work for you. For me, it's kind of fun to cut plugs.

Enjoyed a brief nap followed by a bowl of Chris Morgan Jackalope in a straight smooth medium brown year 1912 Henry Tongue bulldog with a silver cap and band and an amber saddle stem with an orific bit. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Dodgers-Padres game.

Enjoyed a wonderful salad, a two pound wild caught catfish and green beans dinner with a small bowl of Trader Joe's Banana Pudding ice cream for dessert. Wasn't sure how good that ice cream might be, but it's awesome with a ton of calories, so I only had a little bit. I'm off to the studio with a bowl of D&R Windsail in a smooth straight dark brown family era “Canadian” by Sasieni with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Will listen to the rest of ball game.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking Wilke Gentry Royal Blend No. 2 in a black sandblast quarter bend undated Briarcraft (Dr. Grabow made) Wimbledon 810 author with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Just finished smoking Wilke No. 222 in an undated, unbranded straight smooth dark brown made in France Los Alton VBF billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Working and listening to Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour from my collection.

Got home from the wedding, which went well, guy a big tip from the wedding couple, and finished smoking LBF in a Hardcastle bent billiard, while reaming and doing a salt and alcohol bath on my new estate.

I know aromatics tend to burn hotter, and I'm not too keen on smoking one in that pipe anyway, but LBF wasn't right for that pipe because of the heat it produced. I forget which blends burn less hot for a big bowl. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nearing the last quarter of this bowl of Sutliff Presbyterian in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem. Listening to the audition show of Our Miss Brooks from my radio collection.

Finished work for day, and this bowl of year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian 263 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Just fed the ferals, and Sleepy Suzy. Molly Danger is snoozin' by my feet.

Now smoking Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I'll probably end the day with this smoke if I get everything done.

Good morning my fellow BoBs. Enjoying a bowl of Rangers Urban Cowboy in a Savinelli Tortuga with an acrylic faux tortoise shell stem. Watching USA V Sweden in the women's world cup. Not the exciting game, that I was expecting. Hope it picks up in the 2nd half. Have a great day my friends 😊

Good Morning!
After chores I was in the mood for something different so I popped the top of a tin of GLP Westminster and pulled out a pinch to dry while I made some coffee in the French Press. I loaded up a bent MM Apple Diplomat and have been sitting back with a great smoke and delicious cup of coffee!

Zippo,
Nice Sav Tortuga, I like the top plug but worry about it compressing the tobacco. Your best friend is cute!🐶🙂
Actually it doesn't Bali, it has a very very soft Sponge, which fits snugly, but compresses against the tobacco. It's only use really, is for a pre loaded pipe when your out and about. And my best friend Frodo, thanks you 😊

If you want a cool burning aro, try CS Rivendell or Choctaw. Also Hobbits Weed burns cool. Or go codger with PA or CH. Lat blends almost always burn cool. H&H 10 to Midnight is very cool if you can stand the campfire smell, lol.
