Just finished smoking Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2023 in a 1984 black rusticated full bend Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Watch City SEPC Transvaal Express in a brown medium bend 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a tapered black acrylic stem.

Enjoying a bowl of GH Bob's Chocolate Flake in an Altinay Squat Tomato meer. 44 hours into a potentially 72 hour fast -- I enjoy doing these every now and then for the boost in mental clarity. Luckily, pipe smoking is still fair game!
Isn't self-flagellation faster? Where there's a whip...there's a way.

Did a bit of snacking, and am half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. As much as I have eaten today and will tomorrow, I hate to think how much I'll weigh on Monday.

Last smoke of the day is Uhle’s Blend 71 in a smooth straight brown family era Sasieni Mayfair 64 N Canadian with a black tapered vulcanite stem.

After walking with me, Tomato the Brave was in play mode and rolled around in the back yard. Sam the Scamp was standing on the birdbath waiting for his chance to eat. Daisy the Feral Princess was watching it all happen with her typical imperious nature. There was very little drama today.

Tomato the Brave is thinking "This land may be your land, but it's my land, too. This land was made for you and especially me."

Gave up trying to sleep, so I got up and fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, and I'm smoking pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Enjoyed a tall stack of blueberry pancakes with unsalted pecans and a golden delicious apple on the side. I'm passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. The last of this bag of Gold Star Yemen Red Mocha Harrazaa+, neat, is my drink.

Haha extended fasting is not as bad as it sounds once you get used to it. Completely refreshes the body and mind like nothing else. Does admittedly take some willpower though, and it's best that you have a few days off from any strenuous work.

Weird Christmas this year. One of my boys had a case of the hurls all day Friday. Other kid that lives at home and my wife both also felt crummy, but no barf. I had a mild touch of it earlier in the week, but managed to ignore it and work right through. No morning service for us, but we will go to the candlelight service this evening. Larger family gathering is postponed until next weekend.

On the porch having John Bull in the 673KS.

Odd thing happened for the first time. I discovered I'm missing a pipe. It's my MM Elf Cobbit, one of my faves. Me sad.
