Good morning @Gaius Marius! Why did you modify your MM cob?
I'm not Gaius Marius, but I imagine that would make the pipe easier to clean, plus make room for more tobacco. The stem takes up a fair bit of space in the bowl. I might practice that manouver on one of my cheaper cobs.

Good morning fellow BoBs. A pleasant 62 on the front patio right now but will be hot later, highs in the low 90s. Enjoying Molto Dolce in a Don Carlos bent brandy with morning coffee. Heading out to the ranch this afternoon to check on Cochise and Carole wants to spend some time walking Teddy. Have a great day my friends.

Working for Swede again at the bluff -he's a haed boss ;-) . Having Tabac Manil Volute mixed with Prince Albert and remnant GLP Jackknife Plug in an MM Pride raw cob with forever stem and drinking coffee. Man, is it a nice day to be out doing what I want and need to do. My lovely and wonderful wife packed me a lunch of peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Good morning fellow BoBs. On the front patio where it's a pleasant 65 degrees. Having Urban Cowboy in the Pete Pub with CR coffee. Carole out walking the doggies Today is our 10th anniversary. That may not seem like a long time for many of you guys that have been married like, forever, lol. But for me it's a celebration of the best 10 years of my life. On this day in 2014 we met at a coffee shop in Westlake Village at 10 am. It was a Friday the 13th, but no bad luck, lol. 5 hours later I kissed her goodbye and invited her to go dancing on Sunday. We've been together ever since and I cherish every day. Serving lunch at USVets today then out for an early dinner. Have a great day my friends.
Happy anniversary to @Ranger107 and your wife!

Now enjoying MB Mixture: Scottish in a Hardcastle's Crown bent billiard with saddle stem.

Smoked two Cobs with Choctaw earlier, whilst I cleaned a few pipes and listening to The Hound of the Baskervilles on Audible. But now after washing my hands and racking the cleaned pipes, I'm going to fill a Savinelli Author with some G&H Summer Reserve. And hope everyone is having a great day.

I found a pouch with a couple of dried out flakes and took it with me to the grocery store in case my pipe didn't have enough tobacco for the trip. I loaded it in a Pride for the ride home, it was very dry but smoked well. I think it was a G&H flake based on the strength! Next up GLP Westminster in a Rob Roy.

OK my American friends.
I was just perusing the menu from a local takeaway establishment, when they say American Corndogs now available here...... OK...I give up, what the hell is a corndog 😆
We call them "Pluto pups" or "dagwood dogs" Zippo and I had to look up why.
"Dagwood dog" is derived from the name of a character from the American comic strip Blondie, which was created in 1930. In the comic strip, Dagwood, Blondie's husband, has a dog named Daisy.

Did Dagwood eat corn dogs? Of course, he ate those sandwiches with everything in them that came to be known as "Dagwoods." In fact, I was at a sandwich shop the other day that offered a "Dagwood."

It's a beautiful morning in the Bluegrass. I'm smoking KBV Burley Morning Pipe in a Jensen's N.O. bent volcano with saddle stem. I'm drinking Folger's Colombian: a codger's blend of coffee. And reading A Peculiar Glory by John Piper.

No fault in Folgers' coffees, my regular coffee is Folgers Black Silk, and my back-up is Intensely Dark, made in a stove-top moka pot or stove-top percolator. I'm not a coffee connaisseur by any stretch of the imagination, I want it strong and sweet with milk for my first coffee. Having some right now with a bowl of Mark Twain in my Cobbler. Breakfast of Champions!

Back on the bluff working again with Tabac Manil Volute mixed with Prince Albert and remnant GLP Jackknife Plug (may just call this Bluff Blend) but switched to my prized old beat up MM cob probably 5 years old and left under a bbq grill cover for a year or so. I accidentally poked through the bottom, so have tried to patch it with ash and old tobacco but have a piece of blue painters tape on the bottom which you can barely see. These pipes are durable for what they are.
