I've been craving a straight "Burley", so having a bowl of Tabac Manil La Volute Semois in an MM Pride raw cob with forever stem. The brick of this came parts that were loose and parts that were clumps. I tried to keep those in clumps, so stuffed two into the bowl thinking it might well affect the flavor plus this stuff burns notoriously fast. I think it worked.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am passing the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Papua New Guinea, neat, is my drink. The light rain stopped and Tomato the Brave showed up to eat. He asked for seconds, and he got that, too. It's been a while since I've seen him that hungry. I gave him some attention, and Tomato was as happy as a cat can be. He's outside now. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' on her blanket.

Off to the studio to start work on a new Archie story with a bowl of year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian 263 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem.

A package from The Country Squire arrived today, so I am finally able to try some of their blends. First up: Cowboy Coffee in a 1994 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Mycroft with fishtail stem. It has a very pleasant bag aroma with mild scents of smoke, fruit, and tang, nicely balanced. The smoke is creamy, a little spicy, with a touch of sweetness. I think I'm going to enjoy this a lot.
