I've been watching classics all week while my brother is gone. Yesterday was a bunch of Jack Lemmon movies. Today I'm watching "Tight Spot" and having a bowl of Edward G. Robinson. As suggested by JimInks in a small bowl. My little Brulor student pipe should be perfect.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've a third of a bowl left of year 2010 FVF in a straight smooth dark brown 1896 W.H. Newman, Ltd. billiard with a sterling silver band and a tapered yellow and orange stem with white swirls and an orific bit. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Taking advantage of being alone and sitting inside with the dogs watching TV and smoking my pipe. The Rifleman has his own channel and I'm going to binge it like when I was a little kid.
This is a Tinderbox Verona Tradizone 904 and I'm going to fill it with it with Sutliff Black Vanilla.
I have a few Tinderbox pipes and they all smoke nice.

Half way through this bowl of year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 1984 Stanwell Antique 124 egg with a smooth brown front and a black sandblasted back with a dark gold ferrule and black vulcanite stem in the military mount style. Spent a bit of time feeding my cats and the ferals. Lots of traffic copping was involved. Sleepy Suzy was by my side when Harry the Hairy jumped up to be with me. Suzy hissed and took a swipe at Harry, and he ran to the back door. I put the poor little fella out after giving him some much needed attention. I'll end the day with this smoke.

Good morning,
Smoking a cheapo Italian Stanwell Vario #11, Sutliff black vanilla, mug of Peet`s dark roast. I slept late this morning since I have a rare weekend off from work. Sadly the catering business slows down drastically during the winter months here in NY.
Jim, I am sorry that you lost a good friend-It`s hard to accept, try to remember the good times, time heals all wounds. I believe you have my phone number,so If you need to talk feel free to call me. I know our buddy Ranger is going thru his own medical issues right now,but I am sure he would be more than happy to talk with you as well. Best of luck to you.

Dinner was a wonderful salad, striped bass and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've a third of a bowl left of Seattle Pipe Club Give Me Liberty in a straight smooth medium brown pre-1920 straight Marechal Ruchon & Cie. Royale apple with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Less than an hour ago, I learned that one of my best friends, and most knowledgeable pipe smokers, David Cuneo, a.k.a. Dmcmtk, has passed away from natural causes. I'm working on an obituary that I never thought that I would have to write.

Jim, I'm sorry about your friend Sir. I'm sure with your intelligence and heartfelt writings you do, you will create a beautiful obituary to honor your buddy. Again I'm sorry.

Please tell us how you like it.

Jim, so sorry to hear about your friend. It's always sad when a good friend passes. It leaves a hole in our hearts that is hard to fill, but as others have said, remember the good times and the fond memories. I haven't been smoking for almost 6 months now due to the cancer and chemo issues, so no posting, but I have been following the threads. As EZ said I am here for you if you want to talk. Take comfort in knowing that you have so many good friends on BOB.

The last of my MM 150th Anniversary blend for my Breakfast of Champions today and perhaps tomorrow. Mark Twain, my original BoC blend, is on the way so things will return to my original menu soon. I'm not sure I'll order more MM 150th, it is a fine tobacco and I enjoy it a lot, but it is on the pricey side. More and more I am gravitating to bulks: there are many quality blends, order amounts are flexible, and the cost is reduced. I'm sure I will order a tin from time to time but I do not store tobacco long-term. If I did, tins would be essential. Have a great week-end BoB.

PS: Nov. 7 was my one year anniversary here, it has been a wonderful year for me. :coffee:;)(y)
