Ready to fire up a Randy Wiley smooth Cutty which is the closest thing I have to a Zulu. Hu Zulu, a new favorite Balkan blend, is the tobacco. I had to rearrange old bookcases yesterday and found this book, circa1962 by Carl Weber. It’s a surprisingly great read!!

Tried to link my tablet with my PC earlier, got frustrated and went for a nap. Up now for some coffee and a bowl of Velvet in my Rossi Canadian.

Boveda packs have really made a difference to the flavour and consistency of this codger blend, the paper tins have such a poorly fitting lid. A much more enjoyable smoke now, was burning hot and fast like a wildfire before and the flavour was just being scorched out of it. I have experienced the same with Borkum Riff Original, also part of the same experiment. Captain Black Original would appear to be bomb-proof, no evident change but it was also not suffering from desiccation. Granger smokes cooler and slower as well. It was definitely worth trying and I will keep some B-packs on hand in the future, likely order them alongside whatever 7oz codger blend I buy in the future.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, six chicken enchiladas with Mexican beans and rice on the side. Dessert was a bowl of French vanilla ice cream with a couple of cherries on top. I'm passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to watch a couple of Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes episodes. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.

My nightcap is Black Vanilla in my MM cob. Then I'm going to toss a couple of logs in stove and go to bed.
Tomorrow is laundry day. I'm taking Azula with me to practice her training. Laundromats always have interesting characters. Great place for training a personal protection dog to not stress about weird things.

Finished this Archie story, did a little low calorie snacking, and am smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2018 full bend smooth Terracotta Peterson XL315 System Standard military mount with a nickel cap and a flared black vulcanite p-lip stem. Time to catch up on the forums and my Facebook page. Abner the Eager is snoozin' by my side. The old friend of mine who got her sister-in-law to adopt Sam the Scamp sent me a video of Sam playing. It was heartwarming to see how happy she is. My late friend David Cuneo would have loved it, too.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I'll probably end my day with this smoke.

I forgot to post my last pipe yesterday, Sutliff 515 RC-1 in an MM Morgan. Lynda got home from a long, under staffed shift so I listened to her and shared my day.

Is that Archie?
That's Archie! He's a great lap companion. Billy likes to be petted too, but has two main modes, banchie and sleep.

I took care of chores and I'm enjoying GLP Westminster in a bent MM Apple Diplomat along with a cup of coffee.

Good morning BoB's, especially all Veterans!
I'm having C&D Steamworks 2024 in a smoky Peterson smooth standard system 301 with Cracker Barrel coffee. This is the smaller of my Petes, and Peterson refers to it as a bent pot. Peterson Pipe Notes talks about how it has lines of a billiard, and that's how it looks to me. As usual, it proves apt at handling a nice blend. I really like the 2005 Black Sea Sokhoum Oriental in this blend.

Posted this on another site but hell, if JimInks can do it, I can too.

5 year aged Mac Baren HH sampler. Going to break in a new Henri Sorensen cutty.

Very stylish pipe, the rustication pattern is striking. The bowl rim and stem tie the pipe together very nicely.

Morning pipe and coffee, EGR in my Brigham bent Dublin . @Swede I have that very same coffee mug, as I'm sure another 250000 North Americans do. :D
Thanks @Singed Yes, it's Anchor Hocking made in the USA. I like glass for coffee and tea, as it is about as pure a material as you can get.
