Good morning, BoB. Gonna shovel out and run errands today before the last minute holiday shopping ramps up for the week-end. I'm having Velvet in the Re-Gent with my coffee. I may get one of my tobacco orders by Christmas, received notice that it's on the move. I am not optimistic about mail delivery, CUPW was forced back to work by parliamentary order. I expect poor performance and productivity. I love how CUPW feels they can hold Canadians hostage for their personal profit.

A bowl of Balkan Sobranie, Original Mixture laid down in Oct 2011 in my GBD Prehistoric #9240 squat bulldog with silver band and vulcanite bit. I have a soft spot in my heart for this pipe. I still remember in 1966 when I worked (my first real part-time job) at Platte Woods Hardware as a clerk and a package came for the owner of the store, Mr. Jones. It was from Diebel, Pipemaker and Tobacconist in KCMO. In the package was a new Prehistoric #9240 and a 1 lb tin of White Burley. Mr. Jjones was a very man happy man, leaving the invoice next to the cash register. I, and one of the other clerks from my high school, read the invoice and we were shocked - the pipe cost $22.50! We couldn't believe our eyes. We thought Mr. Jones must be wealthy. (When your making 50 cents an hour you can see why we felt that way). I thought all pipes were like the drug store variety (no offense to drug store pipe smokers intended). This was my first insight into quality anything, especially pipes. Little did I know that in 6 short years following college, I would be working at Fred Diebel's.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

After that, I did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. A friend came over, and got my computer working again, but it's old and on it's last legs, so I'll have to get a new one.

I slept in this morning and when I got Lynda was packing holiday cheer that we had to drop off at the post office today! I started a bent MM Apple Diplomat filled with GLP Westminster and pitched in. When we left for the post office, feed and grocery store I took along a bent MM Missouri Pride filled with GLP Westminster. Now we're home and I'm finishing both pipes along with a cup of coffee.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star 50th, neat, is my drink.

I thought salt-peter tea was just a cruel joke for grooms on their wedding night.

I just got in from a Dr`s visit, I got an injection in my spine,Hopefully it helps!
Smoking a SH Pete deerstalker,Capt black royal, bottle of Pellegrino mineral water. Dr told me rest today if I intend to work over the weekend!
My hopes for your improved comfort.

Was gifted Turtlebox Bluetooth speakers (sorta like Yeti - waterproof, tough as nails, loud, ugly as hell) so grooving to a weird mix of Lee Hazlewood, Gene Clark, John Prine, Stealers Wheel …) while lighting a Stanwell smooth Calabash with Mac Baren’s Scottish Blend. A Boddington’s is within easy reach.

Shopping and errands done for the day. Going to have a bowl of Field and Stream in a rustiated square bowl and shank Mastercraft I'm thinking about cleaning up. Trying to clean and sanitize them first then a smoke to see if they're good smokers. If not back in box.
Rain is on the way again. I'm going to take a break from projects and just relax a little - smoke some pipes I haven't tried yet with some tobacco I haven't tried yet with them.

Currently, I've about a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Full Virginia Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Been running errands and doing necessary stuff.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've passed the last third of this bowl of year 2012 Dan Tobacco Treasures of Ireland: Limerick in a straight smooth dark brown year 1912 Hall & Fitzgerald cased HFB billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem and orific bit. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Abner the Eager was waiting for me when I went out for my first set of walks today, stayed much of the day and evening inside. He wanted out about a half hour ago, but must have thought better about being a short hair cat in the cold because he was waiting me when I took out the trash. He ate and is snoozin' on top of my chair. Tomato the Brave went out with me, and Harry the Hairy chased him away. Daisy the Feral Princess played it safe and stayed inside.

Today has been a hodge-podge. I know I smoked Oriental Silk in my Savinelli bent Dublin, OJK in my Bones Dublin, and Star of the East in my Falcon meer - I have no idea when or in what order. I also finished the last row of my bookshelf pipe rack. I put the parts away somewhere I knew I would be sure to find them. So, I spent the better part of two hours turning the house upside down trying to remember the obvious place I stored them. I ran a slew of errands today as well, as I said earlier I do not want to be caught in the milling insanity of the last week-end of shopping before Christmas. I like a peaceful Christmas, no hullabaloo. Good night, BoB!
