Good morning,
Starting the day with my newly acquired Bari Wiking pipe ,it took some time and effort to get it clean and smoke-able,I haven`t decided if I want to re-varnish it yet . The finish is very dull and has no shine,But its smoking great. got some Capt. Black royal/lane BCA Blend in it now with a freshly perked coffee.
EZ, try a little tung oil on it. Shouldn't affect the taste and will leave a shiny finish without clogging the pores like varnish.

Starting off my birthday with a bowl from a freshly opened first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

My last smoke of the day. Arango Balkan Supreme in a Pete 2021 Xmas Milverton. Port wine aside. Dang, this is good stuff. Never had Penzance, which everyone says is the "holy grail" of balkans, but don't see how it could be much better. If anyone has a 1/4 oz or so they would be willing to send my way, it would be very much appreciated. Heck. Even a bowlful or two. Just would like to try it to see if it is that good. Good night all.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, filet mignon and mashed potatoes dinner with a big slice of freshly made Boston creme pie for dessert. I've about a third of a bowl left of year 2013 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DRA 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Dang, filet mignon again? Well, guess it IS your birthday. You must be made of money. Current going price for filet here at Costco is $24 a pound. And Boston Creme Pie? My wonderful dinner was a bowl of tortilla chicken soup and a chicken drumstick. But I am losing weight, lol.
