Did a second set of walking reps in this daunting heat and humidity, and am close to finishing this bowl of unreleased Sutliff VaPer in a 1970's straight rusticated black Savinelli Estella 915 KS dublin with a flared top and pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Plenty of ice water and bergs is my drink. Stay hydrated if you have this kind of weather.

Now smoking Newminster No. 47 Danish Black in a straight 1950s straight Kaywoodie Colt Dublin meer with a black vulcanite saddle stem. First time smoking this meer. Working on a review of this blend.

Good Afternoon my friends, I'm still not up for a smoke today, My misses says I got Man flu, but she don't understand, I'm really dying here . Anyway talking about the Mrs bless her. She bought me a little present she found on a junk stall at the market, whilst out shopping.
Now I don't know anything about this pipe I don't know the markings, and it has no stamps. Anyone know it, or recognise it. It is a gorgeous looking pipe, and in tip top condition. So yeah any help would be very much appreciated

You go from a robot arm to a fancy schmancy gold trimmed classic! If you see the number 375 on anything, that’s 9K gold. Engraving appears too deep for it to be plated. Stem looks like natural honey! Mrs Zippo did good!

Wow, very nice looking pipe. You should take her to a nice dinner and buy her some flowers. Hard to believe she found that in a market junk stall. What a treasure. The pipe and the Mrs.

Taking another run at the Bald Headed Teacher in a fairly large I. Baglin carved meer. Left the jar open 2 days and smoking much better. At least I got it lit, lol. Jim, I think you're right about the change. This doesn't strike me as McClelland quality tobacco. It's not bad but for a burley forward blend I'm finding it a bit bland. Not a 4 star in my book. I will finish it but won't be ordering more. Think I will try Storm Front next time.

The morning tobacco was Sutliff Crumble Kake Va Perique in a Yello-Bole billiard with clear tapered stem. Problem one: The pipe was ghosted by L.J. Peretti Burley DD and it doesn’t mix well with Crumble Kake. Problem two: I was only able to get through 1/3 of the bowl before being interrupted.

The afternoon tobacco was Carter Hall in the same Yello-Bole billiard and was once again interrupted. I never finished getting the ghost out of the pipe.

After the first two failures, I switched to my Castello 31 Trademark KKKK to enjoy the end of the day tobacco. Wessex Curly Block. It’s like a log of Escudo. Not as sweet and heavier on the perique. Only about two months old, so it should get better in the Mason jar. It reminds me of one of the huge novelty cigars they used to sell at Stuckey’s on I-95. Don’t know if that’s an East Coast thing or not.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with a small scoop of double chocolate ice cream for dessert. I've about a quarter of a bowl left of year 2013 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DR 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Dodgers-Giants game as I clean a few pipes.

Oh oh I forgot to mention the trim. Yes it does have English gold hallmarks, from the London assay office. But I'll need to look up the date letter. Yeah didn't she, Mrs Z done brilliantly.

Already ahead of you there Ranger Buddy. I took her out last night, only to the local village pub, but they do a great steak, and she does like it in there. Flowers ?. Excellent idea I'll get onto Interflora. You da man Ranger, have an awesome day my friend.

Smoking a De Paja bent brandy with the last of my MB seven seas regular blend, Large mug of Starbucks Yukon organic coffee, woke up with neck and hip pain ! This yard work is taking a toll on me. I believe the pain is a result of ripping out a tree root yesterday afternoon. Some mornings, I feel like I should be drinking W-D 40 ,instead of coffee. LOL!

Smoking a De Paja bent brandy with the last of my MB seven seas regular blend, Large mug of Starbucks Yukon organic coffee, woke up with neck and hip pain ! This yard work is taking a toll on me. I believe the pain is a result of ripping out a tree root yesterday afternoon. Some mornings, I feel like I should be drinking W-D 40 ,instead of coffee. LOL!

Hope the pain eases as the day passes.

After shaking off a nasty summer cold.
Today is going to be my first smoke in a couple of days.
And to mark this momentous occasion I have chosen my 1964 Dunhill Sandblast shell briar, with the removable bowl. (pity I only have the one bowl). I'll plug it with some Charatan First Bowl and wish you all a stupendous day.
