Up early. Semi long day ahead. Have to work the USVets event again today but only 8 till 3. Right now it's CH in a Lorenzo Old Vic bent billiard with a big mug of coffee. A cool 54 and quiet. No birdies up yet.
Finally home from London, after a visit to pay my respects to her Majesty. "The Queue" personally for me was 14 and a half hours, luckily I had my own chair . But I'm utterly shattered now. So it's a bowl of Rangers Hobbit Weed, in a Meershaum, a cuppa tea and then off for a kip.
Have a great day my friends
Slow day at the shop so I decided to do my best imitation of Ernie Q and blend up some 50/50 PS Luxury Navy-Twist Flake. I should have done this sooner. As one of my old friends from Louisville used to say: ”It’s beautimus.” That’s hillbilly for beautiful.
Close to finishing this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
Enjoyed a bunch of slices of cinnamon raisin French toast with a sliced peach on the side. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of year 2022 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 04 flame grain bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic saddle stem. Magnum Roastery Jamaican Blue Mountain, neat, is my drink.
Half way through this bowl of year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a straight black 1925 Dunhill patent shell Canadian 33 with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Now smoking year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.
Almost half way through this bowl of 2021 Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Watching the Braves-Phillies game.
A quick respite from a long day of paritally building a 16 foot deck beam from 3 2x12's. Coated them and the 6x6 posts with a pine tar mixture. Boy does it smell good. But the KBV Golf Fore Glory! in my new vintage Parker campaign churchwarden is wonderful. I'll finish clean up on this pipe and hope to post pictures soon. I like it!
Finally home after a long day. Stand down event at Vets home 8 to 2, then out to the ranch to check on the boys. Now settled down to some Sutliff Crumble Kake in a Design Berlin bent dublin with some Red Stag bourbon. Nice to get off my feet.
Relaxing after a wonderful salad and two with a half pound pot roast and potatoes dinner plus two banana splits for dessert. Haven't had a banana split in many years, and they were delicious! I'm nearing the half way mark on this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead plug in a medium bend, smooth brown 1950s Peterson 999 Dublin chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Gonna clean pipes as soon as I recover from dinner.
Just finished smoking D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite p-lip stem. Taking a very short work break to stretch out my back, and feed Suzy.
Now smoking year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem.
