I had a failing heart that landed me in the hospital 4 years ago. A cardiac catheterization was stopped mid way and the doctor performing it left to call my wife, Lynda. She works in healthcare and asked the doctor to give it to her straight. The doctor said "ok, your husband's heart is a piece of ****!" A quadruple bypass, hallucinations, medications that shouldn't be given together and finally released. Lynda, at my request, brought my favorite Peterson pipe and Dunhill London Mixture plus a cup of good coffee for the ride home.
So glad you survived it and are still with us.

After puzzling over which pipe to smoke next, I thought let's plug a Falcon with some of Rangers gifted Hobbit Weed. But I won't post it on BoBs. Because I don't want to upset our good buddy Sturdy........soooooo good evening everybody, I'm enjoying an amazing cuppa tea. I hope your all having a great day.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Pad, are you hydrating while you smoke? Coffee, tea, beer, some of Jim's water and bergs? Found out a long time ago that if I don't drink something while smoking my mouth would get dry and feel like I had swallowed some too hot soup.
Thanks, Ranger107. I usually am drinking something while I smoke, but probably need to drink something more suitable and hydrating, such as water rather than the usual coffee in the morning or a dram in the evening. I think you are correct about hydration. I've also realised that I need to dry my tobacco out much more than I have been. And slow down on the puffing.

Initially I thought my burnt mouth was the result of one night drinking late with my cousins and smoking three bowls of a new aromatic back to back without paying attention. That night did see me wake up the next morning with the bad tongue I have today, but I feel now it was just the final straw for my mouth, that my technique was poor and I have been basically slowly boiling the inside of my mouth for some time without really realising until that night.

Going to try all of the above after letting my old mouth rest up for a week or so.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am nearing the half way mark on the last of this tin of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. My drink is the last of the Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat.

Another rare midday smoke. Trying the new Bengal Slices White that I untinned the day before yesterday. Again, don't understand all the glowing 4 star reviews. For a supposedly Lat and Oriental forward blend I find it rather weak. Also was a bit wet from the tin. Had a hard time getting/keeping it lit. Took a lot of relights. Some rough edges. Think I'll rub it out, regardless it, and try again in a few days. Another mug of coffee aside. Probably should have paired it with some Porto.

Want some relaxation time, so I am smoking Mac Baren Virginia Flake in a 1980 black sandblasted full bent Ascorti Business Extension Saxaphone with a thin gold band accent and black acrylic saddle stem. Haven't smoked this blend or pipe in a long time, but I felt the need for something different.

Time for my appetizer/dessert pipe, tonight's choice MB Golden Extra in an MM Pride.

Since when do rabbits lay eggs?
Rabbits get treats which include vegetable scraps and deposit little round droppings that are caviar to the vegetable garden! The chickens get the seeds from winter squashes and other vegetables plus scratch grain. The turkeys only get the scratch. We try to keep edibles out of the landfill!

Spent 3 hours cleaning our fridge yesterday and it's running so much better and quieter. First time cleaning one with the condenser on the bottom though and it is such a pain! It's impossible to access 80% of the coils, even after I pulled out the condenser fan and anything else that came across my path. Next time I'm hauling it to a mechanic and using their lift because this morning I was sore in places that I didn't know existed lol!

First pipe I mixed half-half and blood red moon and stuffed it into a medico Apollo in a "skater" shape. Trying to use up the blood red moon and basically just ruined some half-half lol.I have been very underwhelmed with blood red moon.

Second pipe was an aromatic English blend in a redroot kaywoodie bulldog, I really like the finish on kaywoodies red root line.
