Due to some recent ennui, I decided to try a run of most of the gamut of the Sutliff, C&D, and Lane bulk Aromatics. Just tried over 20 of them in succession in an AKB panel horn meer, and the reason I was able to do this, is that I wasnt able to keep any blend in the bowl longer than 5 minutes.

I already knew most aromatics weren't for me, but after throwing $100 at the issue, now I truly KNOW.. they aren't for me. In a way it was almost worth it. The mind works in mysterious ways.

Warne, have you tried the Country Squire aros? I can highly recommend Rivendell and Choctaw. Also Figgy Pudding when it's available.

Half way through this bowl of year 2020 D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave were very eager to eat, and gave them enough to keep them stuffed for a while. I figured out Shy Stripesy's new stealthy MO, so I left food for her that I know she'll eat, but D&T won't. That'll help her out when she shows up from now on.

Good morning BoBs! Smoking a bowl of Carter Hall in a Sunrise Dublin and getting ready for work. Glad I finally bought a can of this blend after all these years! It's milder and smoother than Haunted Bookshop or Five Brothers; picked it up because a member of our pipe club smokes it exclusively and it made me interested in it.

Last night I ended with Star of the East Gold that I ended up finishing so today I started early with the usual. Just finishing GLP Charring Cross in an Apple Diplomat deciding what to smoke next.

61° and windy today. Enjoyed a bit of GH&Co. Scotch Flake in a MM Diplomat Apple. Then I was informed of some family drama I’d be going home to, so I loaded up the MM Southport Ferryman with GH&Co. Dark Plug for some extra equanimity and contemplation. Being a dad of three grown daughters is an adventure! . View attachment 8421

I just got a SP Ferryman from MM, and it is absolutely different in major ways from yours. For one thing it's a quarter bent, and another is that the shank is about six inches long. I must have messed up the order somehow. It does smoke well, but I wasn't expecting something so large.

Good morning BoBs. Pleasant surprise this morning. UPS must have come late last night. My Pete Pub that was not due till Friday showed up early. Breaking it in this morning with CH and a mug of Costa Rican coffee. Will have to modify the Plip and maybe add a softee but it's smoking good right out of the box. Fun day today. Ranger lunch at noon the wifey wants to go ride Teddy this afternoon. Yeehaw.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2016 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Taking a break from blending various tobaccos into small 25grm sample jars. (New concoctions to my Middle Earth range).
The trouble is I'm not very good at waiting to see how they are cooking together, It's very similar to when I use to make my own beer .
But I'll store them away out of sight out of mind lol.
But I digress, filling a bowl of Petersons Sunset Breeze in a Petersons liscannor XL90. Snow is getting even heavier now, and beginning to settle. I hope you all are having a great day my friends

Smoking a Pete Christmas professor with Capt Black Original blend and a Tim Hortons k-cup, My wife loves the smell of this tobacco and Its not a bad smoke to me.
