Sutliff xmas spice in a Nording bent rhodesian. Tons of birdies out this am. The photo is for other nature lovers. Not a great shot but hard to get the birds to pose.

Today was a good day. I finished bagging up the tobacco from my last few orders, about 2 1/2 pounds worth, all in pint mylar bags, zipped and heat sealed. And, I received my Covid vaccine this afternoon, without my arm falling off or other dread symptoms; the Moderna version. In our neck of the woods, your name goes on a priority list, then when vaccine is available, you get a call. They are trying to get to all the front line workers first, but if they open a bottle for one health worker, they have doses available for the rest of us, or at least that is what they told my wife.
And in smoking news... tonight it is Penzance in a Larrysson 1/4 bent blasted Dubli, then Field & Stream Match in an Avanti Rock Briar 1015 pot, then Mixture 79 Match in a Grabow Riviera pot. First time for the last two tobaccos.
Sorry @Brunello, no pic this eve, I’ll try to do better!

Was fine till you got to the Mixture 79 match. Tried this, did not like it at all. Hope you had better success.

Started the morning with CH in a MM cob. Now onto cowboy coffee in a Pete B42 system. This may have to take the place of CH.

That Which Shall Not Be Named! Speaking of which, haven't heard from Burly Burley (Paul_of_Burley) lately, maybe that unspeakable Mixture finally did him in? I know, bad joke. Maybe I'll PM him just to make sure everything is alright. kxg: report back if you find you actually like it. o_O

This morning thoroughly enjoyed Country Squire in a Savinelli Roma Lucite. Was debating about whether to sell this pipe but after a dozen lackluster attempts I finally found a blend that it likes! Cowboy Coffee and the Savinelli are now my official morning combo (along with a good cup of coffee!). Pic next time (practice what you preach and all that). :)

I have an 80s Sav Roma bulldog. It likes pretty much everything but really shines with a good balkan.

A mix of Country Squire Cowboy Coffee and Rivendell in a Design Berlin Siegfried.

I like straight Cowboy Coffee in the morning and I like Rivendell for an after dinner treat, so I thought why not try them together? In the afternoon I sometimes want a semi-aromatic with just a touch of aromatic sweetness that can take the place of a snack of a cookie or trail mix. These two play very well together, and after trying 50/50, and 66/33 I finally settled on 60% Cowboy Coffee and 40% Rivendell that hits the spot (for me). If you've got them both try mixing bowl's worth together and see if you like it.

Great idea. May try that tomorrow.

Decided to try something new so opened the stash I got from Brunello and pulled out some Dunhill Durbar. I really like this. No tin so don't know the age or whether Murray or Orlik but doesn't matter. Good stuff. Disagree with reviews on being too strong. Much smoother than 965. Too bad it isn't available any longer. Had it in a smaller Stanwell bent billiard since it was new to me. Mistake. Next time will be in a larger bowled fat pot so I can enjoy it longer. Thanks Bru.
