Half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. This should get me to dinner time. Watching the Braves-Mets game.

I'm at the Chicago Pipe Show right now, and Fred Hana is in Chicago this week, he gave that lecture today, but I was dicking around in the smoking tent and missed it. The Perfect Smoke. Sounds interesting.

I'm almost half way through this bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

The pipe show is a lot of fun, I went on to try GH Broken Scotch Cake, GL Pease Union Street, a Peretti blend, and Amphora Virginia, before going back to my MB Virginia no 1. Oliver from the International Pipe Smoker Lounge introduced me to Andechs snuff, which is taken up the nose and has menthol and Virginia and burley. Oliver said 90% of pipe smokers use snuff, whether or not that's true it did get me to try it. But now I like snuff, who knew? Tomorrow is the main pipe show, and then it's back to the smoking tent to try more tobacco, hooray!

Now smoking Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Haven't smoked this pipe or blend lately, so it's time to do so for a while.
