Have a hankering for some of Rangers scrumptious Urban Cowboy. This time I'm going to use a Falcon, fitted with a Meershaum bowl. Then it's time to select the pipes that are a little overdue for a clean, and maybe even a polish.View attachment 14047

Smoking a Vauen bent pot with CAO Bella vanilla,Mc Cafe k-cup, I stupidly dropped this pipe out of my jacket pocket on Tuesday,it had a tiny crack in it from the concrete driveway. I thought it was ruined! My buddy looked at it and suggested to put a drop of super glue on it to seal the crack. I did it yesterday,and it smokes fine now!

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and passing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. Gold Star Jamaican Blue Mountain, neat, is my drink.

What a wonderful ashtray! The whole set-up is great, but the ashtray really caught my attention. Want to get a falcon meer myself, with their international bent stem.

Thank you HR. It is extremely heavy, I mean like super heavy. But unfortunately you can no longer buy those strike & light anywhere matches in the UK. So I have to glue a strike paper to it. The ashtray itself is another heirloom inherited from my Grandfather. I'm glad you like it

Slightly off the thread theme, but I just took delivery of a Radice 29 Lovat from Boswell's collection, and it's a beauty. The shape is one of my favorites, and the pipe is light, amazingly carved/shaped with ring grain to beat the band, and flawless to my eye. I practically stole it at a wonderful price. Sometimes even the blind hog finds the acorn, or good fortune smiles. They threw in an ounce or so of Christmas Cookie tobacco, matches, and a few pipe cleaners just for good measure. You might understand my happiness at the luck I had here.

As long as it's an external bond; fumes from superglue are not healthy, there are usually cautions on the package. I do not foresee an issue if it is on the outside of a bowl, unless you're chuffing your pipe until it smoulders. Excess heat might also soften the bond.

Personally, I'm certain you long ago progressed beyond that habit.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught blue catfish and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in a smooth brown 1976 GBD Seventy Six 256 lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem. First of this style that I bought in 1981 as an estate pipe. A freshly opened bag of Gold Star Yemen Red Mocha Harrazaa+, neat, is my drink.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2010 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 04 flame grain bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic saddle stem. Just cleaned a few pipes.

It's been a wonderful day! I've had friends stop by, talked with an old friend, another visitor and dinner with my wife. I've enjoyed GLP Meridian in a Pride, Abingdon in a Rob Roy and now I have GLP Kensington in a Pride. Listening to jazz oriented Christmas music.

About to smoke my first morta pipe (a Mr. Brog 112 that arrived from Poland on Friday). I’ve decided to inaugurate it with a familiar blend: Peterson Nightcap. I plan to smoke it back to back with a favorite briar (a Rossi 8320 I bought from the Pipe Nook).

Very interested to see whether and how the morta differs from the briar.

Smoked a couple of bowls of Wilke English while working on an art commission in the studio, and have less than a third of a bowl left of D&R Windsail in a smooth straight dark brown family era “Canadian” by Sasieni with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

After months of trying, I managed to get a photo through the glass door of an orange and white cat that's snuck around here a few times to eat. It reminds me a tad of Tomato the Brave, only this cat is more afraid of me than Shy Stripesy.

This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I'll end the day with this smoke.
