Captain Black in that (modified to look like Gilt Edged) Stanwell.
Sid, awesome pictures: good looking pipe!! FTRPLT

Enjoyed some SWR aeromatic on my walk today. The wind has died down making pipe smoking easier and were getting gorgeous blue skies here. I'm thrilled that summer seems to have finally arrived. Hopefully each of you has nice weather to appreciate too. I might have to leave work early and go enjoy some tobacco on the shore of one of the mountain lakes around here.

A second bowl of First Bowl 😂
In a Petersons Zippo 106 rusticated billiard. Having fun turning old bullet casings into a few tampers, using my huge collection of British military cap and collar badges that I had acquired after a lifetime of Military service. Mrs Z says I should sell them on Ebay, but I like them to much to do that 🤣🤣🤣View attachment 18751
They are so fantastic Zippo I didn't realise you made them. I ordered a SAS badge after seeing yours how do you fit them to shell? I was going to epoxy it. I also collect hat pins and badges I almost can't wear my akubra its getting that heavy.

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching Mad Dog Russo while this bowl lasts. Then, if there's no rain, I'll go walking. If there's rain, I'll watch the rest of the Dog before the Yankees-Twins game starts.

Sounds like the scampers are lonely, how is Sam taking the change? How are you taking the change?
It's hard to tell with Sam because she is in heat and is going through a variety of emotions. All day Monday, I thought she was looking for the missing scampers, and I wondered if she was doing that Tuesday afternoon. But, I haven't seen her doing that since. The scampers who remain have been the closest to me, and were snoozin' by my side before we gave away their brothers. If they miss their brothers, I haven't been able to tell because they spend almost all their time together.

I miss the ones who are gone, but I take great comfort in knowing they have great homes. Monday was the toughest day, but acceptance is a great way to deal with "empty nest syndrome", so I am doing fine. I always knew I'd have to find homes for them, too. I do wish I could find homes for the two who are left, and for Momma Sam, too. They deserve a home without drama from my cats, and the ferals.

Thanks a bunch for asking.

Simply slide the spike down the shell Mike. They are a nice snug fit. I'll work on a more permanent fixing later...but a good strong epoxy resin should work.

I took an MM Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy filled with KBV Study in Scarlet on errands, thanks Jim! I'm finishing it now with a fresh cup of coffee. The Scamper brothers worn themselves out and are taking a nap.

Thanks for the update and photo. You just made my day a happy one, buddy. If ever there were two brothers who needed to stay together, they are the ones. Thanks for adopting them.

Next up is another tobacco I got while on our trip. While the car was being repaired we found Carytown Tobacco which turned out to be a head shop that had less than 10 bulk tobaccos on display. The jars had Sutliff labels on them and they had a Virginia Cavendish and Red Virginia, I bought an ounce of each. I just loaded an MM Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy with the Virginia Cavendish which I believe is C&D Red Virginia Cavendish. Oh well!

Enjoyed a tall stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with unsalted peanuts and a golden delicious apple on the side. I just finished smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink.
