Been away for the last three days taking care of a family situation. My bro-in-law lost his father a few days ago. I knew the man well; visiting him often over the years. Family flew in from the East Coast. We got them up to Wichita, KS for a funeral/memorial service/burial yesterday; then back here for the evening. Got everyone to the airport this morning. Finally had time for a bowl of Kramer's "Father Dempsey" in my Pete Mark Twain bent. That tobac smoked so dang well I had another bowl in a 1952 DH 4 LB Shell Briar! FTRPLT
Condolences mate. Hope it was great to catch up with extended family if nothing else (y)

Half way through this bowl of year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. I'll end the day with this smoke. Spent most of the time letting the ferals (except for Daisy the Feral Princess) in and out, in and out, and in and out of the house. It was all about territory and food. Abner the Eager and Harry the Hairy are outside now. Tomato the Brave is by my feet. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.

Good morning from Athens-Greece.

The "Zatrikion" (1600 BC) was one of the most popular pastimes of the Greek royal families, who used it to teach their children that the king was powerless without his people. Like chess today, it had 64 positions, each corresponding to a separate region of the kingdom. Of course, the king should under no circumstances lose a single district of his kingdom, for then he would be left alone and desolate, without arable land and nationals.
The ancient Greek Zatrikion was later renamed Byzantine Chess (it was circular in shape), a copy of it is also housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

I am smoking Cornell & Diehl Small Batch Folklore, single espresso plus cool water beside me.

Good morning everybody, and a chilly foggy morning in old blighty it is too.
This morning I'm going to fill some Charatans first bowl in a dinky little NoseWarmer, before Mrs Z cuts my hair. I'm not sure who made this pipe, as the stamp has long disappeared, only leaving it's number of 077, but it's still a great little smoker, especially good for putting in the pocket for a quick n crafty puff.
Have a great day everybody.

Time for a large bowl of Condor in a Petersons Liscannor XL90. It has to be a large bowl, as Mrs Z and myself have decided to go out for a meal, and she can take forever to get ready 🤣.
I'll then pack a Dunhill Vest with some Hobbit Weed to take out, Have a nice day everyone.

Great lighter matched with that vest pipe!

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, who still won't come out of the bedroom on her own. Then, I fed all the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
