I really need to remember to actually post my replies. I just loaded my Bones Dublin with Sutliff's match for Ready Rubbed. I like the hint of cocoa in this blend and the coarseness of the cut. Cafe Cuba to accompany it, also a good pairing. CC really doesn't pair well with Va tobaccos, bourbon is much better. Felt like some Brian Setzer this evening. Maybe some Royal Crown Review, too.
Enjoyed a short, but necessary snooze, and am just finishing this bowl of year 2020 Peter Heinrichs Golden Sliced in a 1970s full bend straight grain rough top Savinelli Autograph 6 sitter with a cumberland stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in a long time. Gotta take a better photo of it.
Now smoking year 2016 Peter Heinrichs Special Curly in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Lumberman with a long shank and a black vulcanite saddle stem, unbranded. This will get me to a late dinner. I need to get Trever to brand this for me some day.
Relaxing after a wonderful salad, haddock and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Tomorrow will be a reckless exercise in caloric debauchery. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching episodes of The Unexplained narrated by William Shatner.
The unending rain is wearing me down. I have stuff that needs doing. Most I can't do in the rain, some I don't want to .
I'm stuck inside so I'm on the end of this Bob's Chocolate Flake in my MM cob.
I've decided that if I get a couple of big tasks done tomorrow I get the next day off; rinse and repeat all week until the sun comes out. I would like to clean up and take pictures of my pipes and get them into a filing/database. And better organized than a gym bag.
Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Watching an episode of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly Danger is on m'lady's lap. All the ferals except for Daisy the Feral Princess are outside. It's cold and rainy, but that's where they want to be. Haven't seen Abner the Eager today, which is not surprising given the weather.
Now smoking year 2018 Dunhill London Mixture in a brown medium bend 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a tapered black acrylic stem.
Almost a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a straight smooth brown circa 1950s-60s BBB Contrast 506 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'll end the day with this smoke.
Good Morning!
I neglected to post the pipes I enjoyed while watching yesterday's NFL games! I stayed with GLP Westminster and either bent Rob Roys or Missouri Prides. It's a ducky morning, rainy and in the 40's F, the ducks are loving it. I'm starting off with GLP Westminster in a bent MM Apple Diplomat along with a cup of coffee. The cats finished all their food so it's off to the store we go!
Good morning,
Smoking a Bari Wiking bent Rhodesian with MB 7 seas regular blend, mug of DD coffee,Sadly, I have been dealing with a lot of Physical problems lately,my body is not growing old gracefully...
@EZONSLOW I can relate, having to alter my approach to what were simple issues 10 years ago is the new norm. Share the burden where you can and remember you've already put in your share of the hard work. Friends and family will know that and understand, the others are just sheeple.
TCS mystery blend in my Sir Hubert.
I'm back to work after the winter break so I'll be smoking more again.
My order for a pound of some Sutliff and MacBaren blends came in. I'm grateful I was able to get a good amount before they're gone forever.
Almost a third of the way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed my cats, and all the ferals except for the absent Tomato the Brave.
