As for the PA, it's better than today's version and it's dry enough for Kyle. :lol!:
Quite serious. I only have a small bit of it, but it is fun to smoke something almost a century old.whitebriar":nrolsrpb said:Holy Cow; :shock:gravel":nrolsrpb said:Some 1914 PA in a Teipen bent apple. are you serious??
that is some seriously cellared tobacco--1914, my dad was two years old--i'm now 68--
just goes to show burley may not improve with age, but will hold it's own better than most--
I was surprised. It retained a pleasant aroma that reminded me of my Opa's pipes. Since it was dry, lighting was a cinch, packing unnecessary and undesireable. In the first half of the bowl, the flavor was a muted nuttiness and generally pleasant, the second half tasted like cigarettes smell. Overall, I find the thing that recommends this over today's version is the lack of pg and the experience of having tried it.Kyle Weiss":jywp33lo said:HOTW in my SMS Meer...
...wait, 98 year old Prince Albert? Wow.
Dry tobacco often doesn't have much flavor... besides nostalgia, how'd it do?
