Initally Century Columbian Coffee (first taste of this blend) in a Pete 221 - along with a proper Columbian coffee and a new book.

After persevering for 15 mins I finally ran the white flag up and started again with a Parker Billard loaded with Peterson Conniousseur's Choice.

A shame, I really wanted to like the coffee flavoured blend.....however first impressions are often lasting impressions.

Jers, I prefer my coffee in a mug and my baccy in a pipe!

Have you tried Pete's Irish Oak yet? It's my staple food, nothing better for me. Oh yes, and what about Irish Flake and 3P and Sherlock Holmes and.....all the other Pete's!!!!

...this morning, a bowl of MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian in a Bari billiard freehand...

Good call Pete! :lol!:

I thought as Peterson Special Reserve has coffee and caramel flavourings that Century Columbian coffee might be similar.......it wasn't. It's not unsomekable - it will be finished. It's just that to my taste it isn't anywhere as nice as the Peterson baccy.

Yes sir, I'm working my way through the Peterson blends - almost all will be tried - with the obvious exception of the Amaretto flavoured baccy. Nothing ever that is almond flavoured for me I'm afraid. Not even with a gun to my head. :affraid:

I've just now opened a tin of Sweet Killarney which was waiting to be smoked - I've only had a few puffs but it seems good. :D

I love coffee, I drink it black and by the gallon. I just hate anything that is "coffee flavored" - candy, ice cream, soda... I just can't do it. I haven't even brought myself to try coffee flavored tobacco.

As you make your way through the Peterson lineup you must try Old Dublin. It tends to live in the shadow of blends like Penzance and Squadron Leader, but it is one of my all time favorite English Blends.

Thanks Dave,

Old Dublin is on the list - it is going to be interesting for me as it will be my first English Blend.

Recent attempts by myself at various other aromatic blends are just pushing me back towards Petersons. It will take a while but I will do all of them......with the almond or Amaretto flavour excepted! Who invented Almond flavouring? That stuff is like Krptonite......it should be banned and people who liked it should be offered counselling for their deviancy! It's no coincidence that cyanide smells of almonds!
:lol!:

I'm still puffing away at the Sweet Killarny but to be honest, at first taste it's a little bland in comparison to Conniousseur's Choice or Special Reserve. It's pleasant enough though so I will see how it grows on me.

Some morning sweet, one of my fave Va's, McC's FM#2000 in a BBB Sterling Pot. mmmmmm :p :p

Earlier - Frog Morton On The Town in a dedicated MM Spool.

Right now - Esoterica Tilbury in a Walnut Freehand.

Gotta balance things out with all the Aromatics I've been smoking the last couple of days... :D
