Maiden Voyage smoke! Last winter I acquired an unsmoked Pre Republic Peterson 999, marked Dublin and London - Made in Ireland. Though the pipe was virgin, the P lip stem was badly oxidised from age, and I don't like P lips anyhow, so I sent it off to have a new acrylic stem made for it. The pipe just returned home and it's amazing, will post pics tomorrow. Christening her with some Uhle's 00, sipping some Earl Grey White from Teavana, a bit of Calvados on the side. 8)

Yes, the master. He had to cut it from rod stock acrylic because the shank was too fat for a pre molded stem. He dubbed it the Sumo Shank 8) . George is just amazing. Will have to get on the computer tomorrow and post pics, the iPad doesn't like the forum pic server.

Just got back from Beantown and finished a bowl of Royal Blend in one of my Peterson Emerald's. This ones an 80s bent bulldog in the smooth finish. Went by Peretti's and picked up some more Royal Bland to cellar. It's a neat place
