Grain (charitably) isn't much to write home about but that wasn't much of a factor then. Shape, execution & a clean stummel were the criteria. And what LL did with the flair of his stem to set off the design impressed a lot mot people than

Second pipe, again AJ's Vapers, this blend is growing on me fast especially now that I've decided it smokes best when gravity fed, smoking it in the Peterson Tankard with a p-lip, the only Pete with a p-lip I find comfortable, with a big cuppa black on the side.

The last two days I've been smoking nothing but Penzance and Newfound Blend out of cobs. Both are delicious.

Newfound Blend is a burley blend that I got at a pipe shop called the Gatlinburlier in Gatlinburg, TN last year. You can visit their website here. Their prices are more reasonable when you're in the shop, but they have some really good stuff. Newfound Blend possibly being my favorite burley.
