Got some Peter Heinrich's Special Curly being readied and when ready I believe the Sixten Ivarsson Craggy Apple with the bamboo shank will get the call, or maybe the Becker Squat Tomato with the horn stem.  In the mean time I'll enjoy that contemplation with a double Cuban espresso!

A change of pace for my after work bowl -

Valle Crucis. This is from Two Friends made by C&D as a collaboration between GLP and Craig Tarler of C&D. Named after a small town in the eastern mountains of NC.

It's pretty dang interesting as it has a bit of ginger in it. One can taste a spicy element yet it doesn't actually come across the palate as ginger. The tin note has a character of grape which carries over to the palate. And while it does have some lat-weed it isn't pronounced at all.

Got this in a trade a while back as an extra and hadn't had any for a while. Makes a nice change methinks. Reminds me a little of Haddos actually!

Having this in my '78 Pete 307 Silver System and it's a winner!

Here's the description -

Brand: Two Friends

Blender: Craig Tarler & Gregory Pease

Tin Description: A blend of fine stoved Virginia and oriental tobaccos, rich Cyprian Latakia, black toasted Cavendish and just a pinch of Perique. The mixture is finished with a delicate top note of ginger, perfectly complimenting the complex flavors and wonderful aroma of the natural tobaccos. A subtle sweetness and gentle spice is present from first light to last puff, and a clean, dry ash demonstrates the tobacco's purity.

Country of Origin: US

Curing Group: Air Cured

Contents:
Black Cavendish
Virginia
Latakia
Perique
Oriental

Cut: Ribbon

Packaging: Bulk
