It's 11:51 CDT and as usual it's a Red Va sort of day  Having some more McC's 5100 RC in a Charatan Special Pot. I LOOOOVE my miss drilled golf clubs !!  ( that's what some experts here refer to Charatan's as for the newbies   )

Fixin' to fire up some Milan Chartwell in a Big Ben sand grain Canadian, which needs a good cleaning..

Just finished smoking Angler's Dream in a 1978 smooth pointy bottom three quarter bend Sir Brent, shaped like a check mark. Next is Old Colonial in a 2015 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend tomato military mount with an aluminum accent, horn ferrule, and cumberland p-lip stem.

It's 13:09 CDT and still on my usual McC's Red Va kick and having some McC's FM 2000 in my '55 patent Dunhill Tanshell Billiard. It's one of the pipes I was left by my friend Tom when he died last year. I had Walker clean it up and it's been a Va smoker since it was bought in '55 as all Tom smoked was Dunhill Flake in ALL his pies for over 60 years ! He only smoked Dunhill's and only their Flake!!

Now smoking MacBaren Virginia #1 in a late '90s half smooth/half etched freehand sitter, medium bend Nielsen Viggo. A bottle of Sprite is my drink. Going to work in a few minutes.

MacBaren Scottish Blend in a Chacom Paris 856 bent egg with whatever you want to call the stem...

Reiner Long Golden Flake in a 2014 smooth quarter bend Basil Meadows horn.

Now smoking Acadian Perique in a smooth 1977 Medley (GBD second) medium bend billiard with a flat underside.

Long time Little Archie penciler Dexter Taylor has passed away. He was a good cartoonist, and I had the pleasure of doing finishes on many of his stories, including his last one. Now, I hear long time Marvel artist Herb Trimpe has passed, too. To a generation of fans, including myself, Herb was THE Hulk artist. A couple years ago, I tried to work out a deal where Roy Thomas would write a story, Herb would pencil it, and I would ink it. Unfortunately, my only chance to work with Herb fell through. He was an endlessly interesting man. RIP Dexter and Herb.

It's 18:04 CDT and it's time for some pre-dinner sweet, some more FM 2000 in another Charatan, my 481 DC Special "Gilpin" . Can't get enough of that Heinz 57

Edward's Ambrosia in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer.

Earlier - Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in my Dr. Grabow Golden Duke rusticated small Billiard.

Now - GLP Sixpence in my Parker Super Briar made in London blasted Billiard

Now smoking 4 Noggins Down By the River in a 2014 smooth medium bend Basil Meadows egg with an aluminum band and a "root beer swirl" acrylic stem. Only have one more of Basil's pipes to smoke this evening before I will have smoked all four that I own. I'd try that with my Savinelli's but I own 18 of them, and even I don't smoke that many bowls a day.

I'm shocked I tell you, shocked!

:affraid:

Meanwhile - Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired in my trusty Kirsten Esquire full bent.

Now smoking Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. So now I've smoked all four of Basil's pipes that I own today. I highly recommend them as you no doubt have guessed. Working and listening to the great Vin Scully call the Dodgers-Mariners game on MLB TV. Mariners lead 3-0 in the first.
