Just finished a bowl of Low Country: Guendalose

Originally gave this a poor review because of the severe tongue bite, so bad that it took 3 days before I could really enjoy another pipe full. When I first tried this blend back in July I found the Virginia's and Perique to be very moist and too me not aged long enough. But, today's smoke was extremely enjoyable with NO tongue bite. This is a blend that's best when sipped and it did take a few re-lights....BUT WELL WORTH THE EFFORT. Just the right amount of Perique was added to give this blend a nice peppery spice. It took just over 3 months of aging and drying to enjoy this blend, it would be best with a few more years of aging I'm sure. I will be ordering a few more tins to keep in my cellar for the future.
Pipe of choice: a Yorkshire Meer lined with a bent stem. I restored this pipe last year and did some rusticating on both sides of the bowl to remove some minor dings. Great smoking small bowl size, good for a 35 minute smoke.

Just finished smoking Jim’s A Blend in a three quarter bend smooth 1985 Dunhill Chestnut 5202 with a cumberland stem.

Big N Burley " aged " 75% & VBC 25% in one of my older Falcon pipes with an Apple bowl. This is a great blend, can be smoked like a " freight train " with NO tongue bite.

Askwith Kake in my Joh's smooth Brandy pipe with an oval shank and wide stem. This particular pipe has a wider diameter chamber then most and I find it best for enjoying flake or Kake blends. I'm really looking forward to this next pipe full :cheers: :bounce: :bounce:

C&D FABULOUS Bayou Night ( bulk version ) in my Wally Frank Oom Paul pipe with some nice carvings on the front and bottom of the bowl. I restored this beauty at the beginning of this Summer. I did remove the extra long stinger to resolve a gurgling issue. Stunning pipe as well as a great smoker :cheers: :cheers:
