MM Great Dane tobacco in the custom chimney cob pipe I made for myself. MM tobacco's are overlooked by many pipe smokers because they are packed in a drugstore type pouch. Well, so is Iwan Reis Three Star Blue, which is an outstanding blend....just my 2 cents.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

John Aylesbury Sir John’s Flake Virginia in a 2014 Savinelli Gaius smooth brown slight bend black acrylic stem and ferrule 320KS author. A bottle of Sprite is my drink.

Just opened a tin from 2001:

Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake, well rubbed out resting in a tobacco tray for another 30 minutes before packing my pipe.

Pipe of choice: T. Cristiano Signature Series Fatta A Mano Billiard bowl with a square shank, perfect pipe for clenching at 5 1/4" in length.  Absolutely a stunning piece of briar was used by the late Mr. Thomas Cristiano, his work is second to none in my honest opinion.

' Speraaa from Greece, a bowl of Samuel Gawith FireDance and later a cup of Passiflora incarnata before bed.

Not too far from finishing this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 1980s black sandblasted slight bend Savory’s Argyll 281 Cherrywood with a black vulcanite stem.

Just opened a tin from 2006:

Dunhill Nightcap and pipe of choice will be one of my Dagner design poker pipes dedicated to Lat blends. I have a few tins from 1996, Murray's and this tin I'm about to smoke should be much more robust.
Will let you know later.

UPDATE: While I'm smoking this just thought I would say....WOW! Where I find many blends where the main component is Latakia it's been my smoking experience that you might lose some of the Lat flavors with long term aging. Not in this case for sure. Forget the raisins, now has a very strong note of a real good black licorice, is it just me???? I could smoke this fine aged blend 3 to 4 times a day, but it's a tin I want to enjoy for a while so I'm not tempted to open another right away!!

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Now smoking Rattray’s Dark Fragrant in a 1978 smooth full bend Lorenzo Adria Standard 733 flame grain egg with a black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink.

MacBaren Raw Classic in an egg shaped medium bend smooth Burgundy colored 1985 Caminetto with a black acrylic stem.

Proof tasting the latest batch of Pebble Castle in a Falcon. It definitely works!

Seriously, I could not help myself.....

I can not tell you the last time I actually had the same tobacco twice in a row....it was that good. Because it aged well I was able to push it more than when it's fresh with no harshness. Extremely creamy, smoky and woodsy also best describes this blend.

Dunhill Nightcap from 2006 in an HS Studio black rusticated poker pipe with a slightly bent stem dedicated to Lat blends. Still smoking this second bowl.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Yesterday afternoon, Cannon Plug in a Sultan meer bulldog; this afternoon, Rum Flake in a Kaywoodie Egg

Part way through this bowl of the best durn tobacco ever made: year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded. Have enough left for a couple of bowls.

...final pipe of the day...War Horse Bar in a gp. 3 Dunhill chestnut apple...

Going to finish off the night with an H. Upmann Cuban Torpedo cigar.
What a fabulous smooth smoking cigar. Now all we need is a fine CUBAN made all cigar leaf pipe tobacco
