Been groovin' on some aged Haddo's lately after work in my Tinsky '15 BoB POTY.

Have some aged 2015 awaiting for after supper. The humble Stanny Legend 19 is dedicated to this.

Cheers,

RR

Now smoking D&R Ramback Balkan in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic stem. Waiting for dinner and the Cubs-White Sox game.

Carter Hall dated 4/2007 stored in a Mason Jar. This is an anytime smoke and burns well with no bite if pushed. Aging makes all the difference, NO after taste of cigarette tobacco as many have noted when smoked fresh.

Pipe of choice: New to me....
Ardor Urano Fantasy Bent Apple with Silver Band, Marked DR, this pipe has only been smoked twice prior to me receiving it.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

...Amphora Virginia in a Ser Jacopo bent Magritte Dublin...

Relaxing after a great shrimp and potato salad dinner with a bowl of Watch City Flake #558 in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. Watching the Cubs-White Sox play.

MM Pride tobacco in one of my MM Country Gentleman pipes.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Posting this early because after I enjoy this on the front porch I'm going to attempt to get some sleep:

Arturo Fuente Sun Grown Cuban Belicoso cigar. An excellent cigar at a reasonable price. I received a box from a friend who lives in Malta. Back in the late 80's we worked together on a project and we still chat often. He is now a Pilot for Air Malta ( owned by KLM Airlines ) and recently promoted to Captain. Congratulations Arthur, that also was a great gift for your 48th Birthday. All the best my friend.

This afternoon, celebrated the last lecture of the summer with a bowl of 1792 in a Kaywoodie meer I was gifted with; this evening, Grasmere Flake in a straight Dutch meer billiard

Now enjoying Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a 2016 PSF POY quarter bend black sandblasted Vermont Freehand egg with an aluminum band and a tortoise shell colored acrylic saddle stem.

Just finished smoking Uhle’s Crushed White Burley in a 2014 smooth quarter bend Basil Meadows paneled horn with a cumberland stem and p-lip.

Now smoking the last of my stash of Watch City Persian Slipper in a 2003 URAL full bend big bowl egg shaped Lattice meer with a black acrylic stem. Watching Perry Mason.

2015 in a BBB prince
It's a stunning winter's day here in Cape Town. Chilly, but blue skies.

Now smoking Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 1984 medium bend black grain etched Savinelli Non Pareil 9310 poker with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Watching another Perry Mason. Sad to hear of the passing of one of the greatest radio and cartoon voice actors in American history, June Foray. She would have been 100 years old in 54 days. RIP.

Last smoke of the day is Granger in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple with a black vulcanite stem.

Edward G Robinson blend in a Scott Thile sandblasted Lovat pipe.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

John Patton's Storm Front in my RDPipes Devil Anse. Custom made by our member of the BoB Ron Powell. I have accumulated many pipes over the past 48 years, this Devil Anse is one of my top 3 favorites. Not for its beauty and superb craftsmanship, but for the way it smokes.....OUTSTANDING!

My simple anytime blend when aged for a minimum of 1 year happens too also be one of my top 10 favorites:

C&D Bayou Night 60% and Lane Burley & Black 40% aged just over 1 year. I smoke this like a FREIGHT TRAIN and absolutely NO bite. I pack the pipe firm 3/4 of the way and get close to a 60 minute very enjoyable smoke.

Pipe of choice: Savinelli Series III UNFINISHED BILLIARD pipe. Has 11 huge fills but it's a superb smoking pipe. I did finish the briar with Bee's wax and mineral oil mixture. I've smoked this pipe over 500
times and the briar now developed a dark chocolate color. But the fills still stand out.
