Oh was that car a bomb here in the USA! But when I lived in Europe in the mid 80's to the early 90's I had the dastardly pleasure of owning one for about a year. Guess what...it was a bomb in Europe too....lol. But, when your given a vehicle by an Embassy you take it with a smile. The following year I was given a new Peugeot, another French bomb...lmao. By the third year I was given a Lada, made in Czechoslovakia, inexpensive compared to the other two mentioned. But overall out preformed the two French vehicles and had no mechanical issues. So, the fourth year rolls around and I would have been pleased to keep the Lada, instead I was given a Skoda, another Czech vehicle. The day I picked up the Skoda was the same day the engine literally blew up, and yes I was given a new Lada and was happier then a pig in $hit....funny but true story.
