Back from visiting a neighbor. Had two bowls of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. A bottle of Cheerwine is my drink.

Just finished smoking D&R Two Timer Gold in a smooth full bend 1977 Crown Coachman 215 egg with a black vulcanite stem. Settling down to routine at last, which in this case, has been watching the Pirates-Reds game. I missed the first inning because I was out, but they survived fine without me.

Now smoking RO Perique Series Blend P-37 in a 2003 smooth full bend, gold banded 3 Star Ferndown Tudor Root with a black acrylic stem.

Pipe of choice: Restored LaStrada Simpatico Oom Paul pipe. Pipe was made in Italy and a popular brand sold throughout Europe.

In the middle of restoring a Charatan Supreme Straight grain with a 18kt gold band. Purchased this pipe at a yard sale for $10.00, the seller thought the band was gold plated. Even though I told him " nope, it's definitely not "! He said " just don't ask for a cheaper price "!! Taking it Slooooooooow on this pipe!!

Now smoking Peter Stokkebye Bright Virginia in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded.

Pipe of choice: one of my favorites... restored to MINT condition...Ben Wade smooth flame grain Oom Paul pipe. Smokes as good as it looks....purrrrrrfect.

Now smoking RO Perique Series Blend B-41 in my trusty 1970s smooth three quarter bend Peterson System Standard 305 with a black vulcanite stem and p-lip. Doing nothing and excelling at it.

Two P S LBF's smoked great aged but was a fast smoke. Next time three Bullseye's will be used. What a difference with some aging over smoking fresh.

Recently opened a jar of Sutliff's Ready Rubbed Match

Pipe of choice: Stanwell Royal Guard with a bent wide comfortable stem. A chubby beautiful piece of briar.

Medal of Valor dated 2011, tin version ONLY! I find the bulk to be a horrendous smoke. Wonder if it's just me??

Now smoking McClelland 27 in a 2014 smooth medium bend Basil Meadows egg with an aluminum band and a "root beer swirl" acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink.

C&D Bayou Night bulk version, just opened a Mason jar dated 2009. This is a Perique lovers/loaded blend. I find this blend a great afternoon or evening smoke and for me can be repeatable on any day. My opinion, it's slightly above a medium NIC hit, but others have told me it's a heavy NIC hitter. When fresh can be a bit moist, so dry in a tobacco tray to your liking. This is a blend that definitely gets better with age. Smokes sweet and woodsy with no harshness. A very relaxing enjoyable blend for me.

Pipe of choice: a MM Country Gentleman pipe dedicated to any of my Perique blends.
