Most likely my last pipe of the day:
Recently finished a tin of C&D Burley Flake #3 dated 2016, was not that impressed with the overall flavor and complexity of this Burley blend compared to some of the earlier releases, like the 2009 & 2010. What are theses youngin's doing to the C&D blends in the last 1.5 to 2 years.
Well, guess I'm pissed because I opened another tin of Bijou with mold covering the top. This was a replacement tin that I was reassured " we've changed the balance of the anti-fungal additive to this moist blend, it's now stabilized much better ". Just threw this batch of Bijou in the garbage and will no longer purchase ANY TINNED C&D blends. I'm done with children playing with what was once a reputable manufacturer of fine tobacco's.
Just opened a tin dated 2010:
C&D Burley Flake #3 dated 2010 in my Bjarne medium Apple bowl with a bent wide stem.
KEEP ON PUFFING!!!
