I would never expect anyone to do a stem replacement or just make 2 stems for free. I had sent him an email asking for some price for 2 stems. I love the green stems in the pics I have seen, but haven't seen them in person.

Another thing you could do is have him make TWO stems for you, one Green and the other in your second fave color so that when you drop it and break the tennon in the green one you can just "plug in" the spare !! ( we ALL have dropped a pipe and broken a tennon, it happens if you smoke long enough :twisted: ) :twisted: :twisted:

That's what I did in the past, had two stems made. Worked out great.

Update.
Ian Walker recommended just a cumberland stem with a silver band and that is what I am going with. When I get an Askwith morta pipe I will get a green cumberland stem.
