Puff Daddy-

I'm taken with the style of the Stanny in the top left of the first and second pics. What is this called? It's a shape that I find very beguiling and much to my tastes.

TIA

Cheers,

RR

Good hunting there Frost, but I'm trying to stay away from filter pipes. I have a couple, don't think I'll buy any more.

I do like the shape 11 in the featherweight

The 217

The 179

The 63M

Click here If you hunt around you'll find it in various finishes. This is the first Nanna, non filter (there's one similar that is a filter pipe).

Thanks PD!

Doubt if there's anyone who collects pipes who doesn't have a Stanwell or 2 in their rack. Good, not great bowls, but they're a nice smoke generally. My experience is there a good transition pipe; not a basket or a cob but a gateway into better bowls. Good choice.

Add me to the Amen Chorus for Stanwells--and I'll say, additionally, that if you like a filter pipe and/or can abide smoking one sans filter, they make some nice ones indeed. Been using the 9mm Savinelli balsa filters with mine and enjoying it.

After reading all these replies, the question is not "to Stanwell or not to Stanwell", but "how many" Stanwells to get!
I've got a few, and they offer a lot of class for not too much cash.

After realizing when I made my reply last night I was actually smoking a BC. I can't let all here beat em down for being affordable. They seem to do well with a long stem and a small bowl.
