What watch you wearing?

I wear an Orient Bambino automatic. I call it "The Poor Man's Automatic". If you get one you might consider looking around for an upgrade for the band. It's not bad, but not luxe.

Wow, old thread revival, lol. I have somewhere between 45 and 50 watches. Nothing real expensive, but when I was working I enjoyed wearing a different watch every day. Started a lot of conversations. Now, my go to most days is an Invicta Sea Master auto. Rugged, water resistant to 300+ ft. And a wide, comfortable 26 mm band. But I do wear the others for different occasions. One of my faves is a 30 year old Seiko Orange Monster dive watch. Automatic, WR to 300+ meters, not ft. And glows like a flashlight at 250, which is as deep as I have gone with it.

A 1968 Rolex Automatic Oyster Perpetual. With this watch, I have built numerous fences, sheared sheep. baled hay, felled trees and dug ditches, In over 30 years it has been serviced only once. It still keeps accurate time and starts ticking when I strap it on my wrist. A great rugged watch that I treasure.

I've been fascinated by watch movements for some time. I wear a quartz Timex Expedition but I'd like to wear a manually wound or automatic in the future.

I did at one time have a Rolex GMT Master. Bought it from a jewelry store in downtown Omaha NE that was going out of business for $900. At the time they were selling new for around 2K. Unfortunately it was lost in an accident in 1986 when a drunk driver hit my wife and I on our motorcycle in downtown Council Bluffs IA. It apparently came off my wrist in the crash and we never found it. Frustrating as they are now selling on the vintage market for 25 to 45K. The photo is an internet shot, as I never took a photo of mine.

I've been wearing a watch since I was a little kid so It feels like I forgot my pants if I leave home without it, and if I forget to wear one in the summer months I am rewarded with a deep sunburn around my wrist thanks to the tan-line I've developed lol.

I won't spend more than $50 on a watch after I ended up melting the bezel to the crown on my Victorinox when I was welding fulltime. Couple months ago my $5 Chinese field watch stopped keeping time so I bit the bullet and upgraded to a Timex expedition, that's all bi-mart had, and I have no complaints. One of my coworkers recently got me looking into Seiko's automatic field watches though, so I'll probably spring for one of those once I break or get tired of this Timex.

I have a Casio Mud Master G Shock. Great watch, rugged as hell. But, costs around $350. Downside, unless you can change the batteries yourself, that's a hundred bucks every 2 or 3 years.

I have an old quart Timex from my Pepe (French Canadian slang for grandfather) and that's in a display box. Overkill for a 10.00 watch, but it has history.
I have a drawer full of watches from my consulting days. Would buy them in different countries as a souvenir. More loot for my kids when I go. I never wear them anymore.
As a lefty I found watches a pita growing up. Wear it on the left break it. Get in trouble from my father
On the right can't wind it. I never used one except for the time I was in the army.
Then came cell phones so I always had one to tell time.
Now I have an Apple watch for the health monitoring and backup phone. Broke my first one day 3. Number 2 is still going to strong but I do hate charging it all the time.
