Greetings Brothers,

Has anyone else noticed that many Savinelli pipes being offered by companies like Iwan Ries and Pipes and Cigars are out of stock and
have been for some time? Of all the models being offered by Iwan Ries 25% of them are out of stock. Over 35% are out of stock at Pipes
and Cigars. I've noticed other sites showing lots of models being out of stock but I didn't compare the number of out of stock models with the
number of models offered. Just appears to be a disproportionate number unavailable.

Is this an usual occurrence or is there trouble in Paradise? Being a Savinelli fan and still have some purchases I would like to make I'm beginning to
wonder if some of the models I want will be available again?

I just thought it was those company's, it sems like smokingpipes.com. always has plenty of Savinellis and Petes on hand,, and they only list what they have on hand, whereas the others seem to use the pipes as advertising, even though they dont have any on hand.

I finally gave up on lookin at new Petes at P&C,, but P&C ships quicker, and seems to do good on tobacco, so thats where they get my business.

This is all just based on my opinion,,, which is just that,

The thing I like about smokingpipes.com is that if it's available from inventory, it's shown for sale. When it's out they don't show it. Almost like standing at the showcase so you can see whats for sale. As for why a particular model is not available, I would imagine it is reflective of item demand and sales. Some models if they don't sell, don't get made any more. Simple buidness :p

I think some sites dont replenish there stock regularly. Smoking pipes seems to sell alot of Savs and Petes and usually offer at least two dozen new pipes from each almost every week.

Savinelli seems to be doing quite well as far as I can see. They had an amazing display of pipes in chicago at the pipe show and some of the nicest Autograph series I've seen in a long time. Keep on shopping and I'm sure you'll find the shape/style that you're looking for. Good luck in your search.

Yes, and their stock is real-time. Meaning that once you buy a pipe it's removed from the site.

Alternatively, sorringowl has a couple great estate Savs for sale on the trading forum.

Cheers,

I just bought two Savs. Sounds like some places have 'em, some don't. Could be that ol' debbil Cash Flow. Maybe Sav fills orders for shops that have the green, holds back when green isn't forthcoming. There are quite a few online smoke shops plus a market in estate pipes, which puts the squeeze on profit margins. It's a shrinking market and a discretionary product amid general economic woe. Just guessing.

Thank you so much for taking time to reply. As always the responses were well
considered. The BoB membership is the best.

hi, just new arrived from italy, here no problems with savinelli, i've just bought 2 320, a trevi and a natural, smooth finishing and great flame even if a lot of people is in holidays, ciao, mambab

Cary Tobacco (Tobacconist of Cary) here in NC has a large selection of Savinelli pipes on hand. Considering the HQ is about 5-10 miles from there, they should :)

Last I heard he was having an e-commerce site put together. I'll let you know when it is up and running.
