I think part of what makes Penzance so special is it's uniqueness. While there are tons of ribbon cut latakia blends, not many styles of crumble caked latakia. It is a very fragile tobacco, loses much of its bang once it is crumbled. The first 2 oz's I bought from a opened 8 oz pouch had a considerable amount of bloom, and tasted absolutely sublime. None of the samlpes I have opened since (1 8 oz and 1 tin I recieved open) have displayed that magic dust, and don't taste quite as awesome. I assume this is age but perhaps some of the later production was hurried or a bit young in the tin.
