woes of Portland Oregon and pipe tobacco

Went to three different shops today and found dismal supplies of weeds in stock. Sure, sutliff was there, a few others, along with scant "house blends ". But wow, just wow. All blame high taxes was keeping stocks down. Mcclelland? Too expensive to stock. Rattray? Nope. Sigh, bought a house blend out of pity. Glad I brought enough to keep my bowls warm....

Steven can be a bit on the ornery side, and the others will not likely be carrying blenders. Rich's may, but I doubt it.

The others I can think of aren't worth the trip. Mostly cigar shops.

Ya, Rich's downtown is where I'd head even though the prices are sky high. At least they have inventory, last I was there.

DW hit the high spots. There are other Rich's about, but the only one worth hitting for pipe tobacco is downtown.

My son was getting married today and i had some time to kill between that and the reception, both on the East side of the river. Other business is in Beaverton / Scholls, and then fly out....
