Dock's thread got me thinking of starting this one. This is only for serious body builders, not for your 3 times a week people, yet feel free to join if you're not going to derail the thread.
As detailed in another thread, I believe a protein isolate is necessary. I take a shake as soon as I open my eyes in the morning to start my metabolism; then one at 10:30 in lie of my morning car which I am currently off of. And of course, one 20 minutes after my (intense) work out. I have currently began taking one about an hour or 30 minutes prior to give my muscles something to work with. This helps me not only with working out and building muscle but with weight loss as it keeps my metabolism activated.
Morning
I take a multivitamin (animal pak). I also take an acai/goji berry extract and Omega 3 supplement.
Lunch
Tuna Sandwich, fat free ranch instead of mayo on whole wheat bread.
Pre-Work out
I am hooked on NO2 (I wont get into a discussion of brands here). I only recommend it if you feel it. I first tried No Xplode when a buddy said it had no effect for him. I took it, went to the gym, and curled up to a 55 pound dumbbell. What I felt is unexplainable. We have been trying to figure out why it worked for me but not my friend, and best as i can figure he wasnt doing heavy weights at the time. This will have to by cycled. I also take testoterone, which you don't need unless you're around my age. It also has to be cycled. If nothign more, it keeps my voice deep and prevents man ****s.
Intra Workout
I have tried many things to take during a work out and dislike them all so for. I just drink water, nonstop due to the way I prespire.
Post Work Out
I immediately take a creatine monodrate shake (I prefer Cell Tech). I wait 20 minutes and take a quick- absorbing protein. Then I start dinner and have my post work out meal.
Bed time
I take Casein protein which is a slow-digesting protein. You can skip the cost by simply eating a half cup of non fat cottage cheese; i'll stick with my casien. I also like to take some metamucil to ensure i have enough fiber to balance out my high- protein diet.
