Last night I was so tired I fell right to sleep with no pipe. Tonight sleep isn't coming as quickly, so I'm enjoying a bowl of GL Pease Montgomery in my MM Louis.

It's a comfortable overcast morning and chores are done. I'm starting out with my usual GLP Westminster in a bent MM Apple Diplomat along with a cup of coffee.

I'm enjoying my morning ritual: KBV Burley Morning Pipe in a Jansen's N.O. bent volcano with saddle stem, a cup of Colombian coffee, and a book to read. (With a full canister of KBV BMP and another two pouches in reserve I should be able to do it through the end of the year.)

Good morning my friends. No pipe this morning. Saw the oncologist yesterday and he said smoking and alcohol could exacerbate the tumor on my neck. Have to do chemo and radiation for it. So until that's done and it's gone won't be smoking. Will miss it but have to do what's best for my health. Will still follow you guys to see what's happening with the BoBs. Have a great day everyone.

This may be totally inappropriate but I'm reminded of the old joke: quitting smoking and alcohol doesn't make you live longer, it just seems longer.

But joking aside, do what you gotta do, brother. I'll continue to pray for your good health.

Not had much of an opportunity on the pipe, as we're away visiting my sister in Dorset. And they are totally non smokers. But I'll survive. Dang it's beautiful down in this part of the country. Quintessentially English, thatched cottages and a lifestyle from Ye olden days. Ranger my great friend, as always my prayers and thoughts are with you Buddy.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis and the need to abstain from alcohol and tobacco. Hopefully the treatments will begin soon and be done shortly thereafter.

After snacking on our grocery haul I'm finishing an MM Pride the I filled with Drucquer Casbah and started on our errand run.

Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink. Molly Danger came out of the bedroom twice today, but stayed in the hall, and wouldn't go near the den. She's still afraid that Sam and the scampers are around. I picked her up both times and walked her around so she could see that they aren't here anymore, but as soon as I put her down, she ran off for the bedroom. At least she's thinking about it.

The rain stopped, and I got in a set of walking reps in the steamy heat and humidity. Harry the Hairy and Abner the Eager kept me a little company until Harry got belligerent toward Abner. I picked Abner up, and consoled him for a couple minutes before I finished walking. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Earlier, I mentioned that Molly Danger had ventured out of the bedroom, but wouldn't go to the den. Well, she finally came to the den for a few minutes, and then the kitchen to eat some dry food, but she got nervous, and went back to the bedroom. I was very pleased to see that.
