Pipe Identification please.

I bought these years ago in a lot buy and just rediscovered them and will tidy them up and put bits on them.

1. diarant (something)saint claude pipe can anyone tell me what the middle word is please?

2.The monkey head has made in italy possibly a Wally Frank Briar Wood Monkey Head Smoking Pipe .

3.And other one I cant see any markings but has small screw in bit(sorry I can take another pic) and stem/shank has metal filter.

Come on you guys Its killing me, is it in french?

I asked my wife to look at it. She's French and working there right now.
Here's what she sent me. Not sure if this helps you out.

"It looks like Jean la Croix. The artisan’s signature.
Zénon La Croix the father, transmitted his know how to his son André, who then worked and share the business with his brother Jean.

Brilliant MLB!!! thanks to you and your wife so much it was doing my head in. I cant say I remember seeing signatures on any of my pipes. Its usually type or style in that font.
It should clean up ok it has a nice grain.

I think you got it MLB, the signature is identical to other JLC pipes from Diamant, Saint-Claude. Well done. All I could get through my research was references to the museum in Saint-Claude.

I love a good puzzle man, I can't say I've made any progress on th one in the top of your image. Is it a leather-bound pipe? It has that look to it.

No, but I thought it was also until I squeezed it and had a closer look . I will take another few pics of it. It is very ornate and has a metal stinger I dont think its a cheapy.

This pipe is super,super lite not sure what wood it is.
Weird the spigot with some markings is soooo worn down and the bit shows some descent amount of smoking and not much cake but the top of bowl rim is almost pristine. I reckon someone has had a go at restoring and sanded the top?
I wish I knew what this fella was smoking in it, it smells delish wish I could send you guys smellavision.
If anyone has seen one of these or knows who made it I will send you a virtual ciger
The colour difference stem to bit but is barely visible to the naked eye but really shows up in these pics for some reason.



It could be upside down as well not sure.
