The grain on that pipe is gorgeous.
Thank you. I picked out the best one that I could, and it is a great smoker. I know you saw what I wrote abut the 4ABs so you know how important that pipe is to me. What you don't know is that three friends bought it for me for my birthday, and that makes it even more special to me. Everyday that I smoke it, I think of the decades long journey to get that and the other 4ABs (all but one bought by friend and family for my birthday). And I think about how fortunate I am that my friends helped make it possible for this to happen. There are very special people in the world, and I am fortunate to have some in my life.

Here are the other sides.

An ideal gift: personal, beautiful, pleasurable, and practical.

After completing a number of errands and chores I am finally settling down to enjoy a bowl of Sutliff Black Cordial in a Jansen's N.O. bent volcano with saddle stem, along with a cup of decaf coffee. It's a little chilly out here, but the really cold weather is rolling in tonight.

Near the half way mark of his bowl of year 2015 Sir Walter Raleigh in a black 1997 Brebbia Jubilee 925 silver banded grain sandblast briar calabash with a tapered black acrylic stem. Have enough left for a smaller bowl. Ice water and bergs is my drink. It's still raining, and Tomato the Brave finally got up to eat.

MB Vanilla Cream Loose in one of my very best smokers. The 9mm twin bore DB Berlin volcano plateau foot. What a gorgeous slow delicious and expressive smoke. In the zone.

That's a great first image, if Magritte and Dali collaborated on a painting of a pipe it would look like that: "Puddle of Pipe".

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, snapper and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Looks like Friday will be a full blown off diet day. :) I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Full Virginia Flake in a slight bend 1968 group 4S Dunhill Shell 475 cherrywood with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Daisy the Feral Princess is more hungry today than usual. She also wanted to go out. I opened the door, she stuck half her body out, felt the chilly wind and rain, and ran as fast as she could to her blue blanket. Tomato the Brave isn't on my feet now; he's laying right by them. Harry the Hairy was in for quite a while, but he wanted out. Did not see Abner the Eager today. Maybe tomorrow or later if it isn't raining.

I got interested in live guitar videos on YouTube, they started with solo acoustic guitar and carried it through some Jeff Beck and now SRV. After dinner, chicken meatloaf and a baked potatoe I loaded a bent MM Washington Rob Roy with GLP Westminster. After finishing that I loaded a bent MM Legend Rob Roy with more Westminster. That's almost done, one more video up to end the day!

Last smoke of the day is year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 1984 Stanwell Antique 124 egg with a smooth brown front and a black sandblasted back with a dark gold ferrule and black vulcanite stem in the military mount style. Going to traffic cop feral feeding, and read with whatever's left in the bowl after that.

@JimInks that cutty is a beauty! I don't recall seeing it before.

I'm having my morning pipe, EGR in the Cobbler today. Waiting on my Sutliff order from October, it's still stuck at the border b/c of our mail strike. I ordered some Lane product last night, we'll see which one arrives first. They should both be well aged by the time they arrive...perhaps I will be, too.
