If I were guessing, I would say that both the shoe pipe, as well as the beer bottle pipe, are both Stephen Downie creations. That fellow can make a pipe look like just about anything he desires.

I'll give another nod to Billy Budd as one of my favorites. I like to smoke it in a very large bowled Ferndown I have, and like Chris stated, with a couple years of age it is very creamy and rich. It's a nice variation on Latakia, since so many Lat blends taste similar to my palate.
