    Short smoke

And along the same line of thinking. I'm wondering now just how a stack pipe like the 2 in this post would actually smoke, thanks P.

Yakslon pipe just arrived today - awesome!!

Very Nice! There's something about that pipe, I know its brand new but it gives off this vibe that its ancient, that its been here a very long time. I love the lines, it must have a great in hand feel. Please lets us know how she smokes.

TS, nice collection so far. Remember that every journey starts with the first step, I've been smoking pipes for a while now and my rotation of pipes include 20 or so very special pipes, a small collection but a collection that makes me very happy.

    Amazing Pipe!

I stumbled across a pipe carver on the Quality Briar website named Maigurs Knets, while his pipes may not be every ones cup of tea I was rendered speechless. The materials are briar, vulcanite, and antler.

If the person who won that pipe intends to smoke it I hope they take the time to remove the finish from inside the bowl. This is one pipe auction I will never understand.

    Peterson Mark Twain $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I really thought this pipe might go as high as $350-400 but not anywhere near a grand.

    Peterson Mark Twain $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

So Dock, you think this pipe's price is being driven by the fact its being sold by a certain seller? If so what should that have to do with it.

    Peterson Mark Twain $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sas, I have to agree, I've got 2 Pete's that are amazing. One is a Sherlock Holmes "Professor" from the original run, I smoke 3-4 bowls in this pipe a week and she performs flawlessly and offers and great tasting smoke every time.

    Local pub tonight

Yes one of life finer things! It ages beautifully but I just can't leave it alone long enough. Another great chocolate stout is Stormking by the Victory brewing co. Just amazing stuff. Now that winter is behind us I'm looking forward to some nice IPA's, can anyone say Dogfishhead.

    Peterson Mark Twain $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I've read on the internet that these Mark Twain Pete's posses almost magical smoking properties, that coupled with the fact that it its unsmoked and part of a limited run is surly driving the price, I just didn't think it would go this high.
