    Mars cigars back in business

It may be that they cannot do credit card purchases on the internet to California....taxes and all. Try calling them and see if they will do business over the phone. :drunken:

    Pipe Identification

The metal pipe, Viking/Falcon has an extra bowl on the upper shelf. Abt $35 as a guess. Try to get the stamped names, numbers, and any other info on them and get back to us. :bounce:

    Odd date marking on Dunhill

The small 2 and 3 would indicate the year was 1952 or 3. I did not know they would double stamp them. Always learning something new. That makes hanging out on the forums worth doing. :joker:

    somthing special, maybe?

You just have to hit the shops more often Kyle. I don't think the pipes are there long. I have managed to score several times. Trouble is I sometimes over pay if it is a pipe that I know of but have not been following the prices. I over paid for a GBD Canadian recently. but I am a sucker for...

    Filling holes/pitting in stem?

I have spot heated vulcanite stems after insetting a blade into the button end to push the indention out from inside. That does work for small indentations. I have read that you can melt vulcanite dust in to the hole and then sand it to shape. A "red neck" method is to use a piece of heat...

    Brothers Who Smoke Together

It was a good get together in Reno. The Tinder Box there has a casual welcoming character. The middle Northern cost BoB needs to gather in Sacramento in the future. Kyle wrote: House of Calabash tobacco, a nice, medium-bodied light English, but I don't remember the name. "Avalon" An...

    Dunhill

I may not be discerning but I find all of my pipes are doing a fine job. I do recall a GBD Billiard Century that was better than any pipe I had. Dropped it and broke the shank. I was so disgusted that I tossed it. Boy do I regret that now. :pale:

    Passed on Pipes

The squeak is from the bowl sliding on the cork band at the top of the gourd. Twist the bowl and pull. The cork can deteriorate but I doubt that it has. Looks like a silver lid on the rhs pipe.
