    Wasn't there more stuff here?

That's an under-the-hood problem. Auto-pruning somehow got turned on for the Sports forum. Every seven days, fallow topics get zapped. It's probably Forumotion witchcraft, but I'm the topic setup guy so I'll offer the mea culpa. I've turned it off again. Carry on, sports fans.

    Retirement: Planned

I can't vouch for the amenities, but everyone is welcome by my place for a bowlful, a tot of whisky, and fresh new tennis balls for their walkers.

    Retirement: Planned

The Briar Pipe Apartments for seniors in Pennacook, NH. Probably ripe for a takeover by BoBs in their dotage.

    MSDS: Women

Also hygroscopic. Excessive use can be severly dehydrating.

I just tried McClelland Navy Cavendish (from 2001)

This is exactly what I'm waiting for, patiently, in a few years. I liked the blend young; I think I'll love it well-aged. You lucky devil--someone else did the waiting for you.

    T. Cristiano's signature Fatta a mano

I have a lovely Cristiano ladle that I bought from Doc Watson at the NY/NJ Pipe Show. It even came with a shot of Laphroiag scotch... something internet sales still don't offer!

A very interesting charity shop find.

Keep an eye out--the Avon "Pipe" cologne came in a variety of bottles in various pipe shapes. My better half picked me up that Oom Paul, as well as a straight billiard bottle--fortunately both empty, but still reeking of cologne that would beat up a GH full scented flake for its lunch money. No...

    Flash review: Long Golden Flake

LGF is a favorite of mine! Many Virginia-based flakes give me a little "cigarette" note before they round out; in LGF, that toasty anise complements that upfront flavor, and then plays a different role out as you enter The Zone. My MIL has introduced me to the wonders of pastis (anisette) as a...

I just tried Solani 656 Aged Burley Flake

There is something definitely chocolatey about ABF, only faintly sweet, like Baker's chocolate almost. But I'm not sure it's a topping... I don't smell it in the tin, and it takes a little while to develop after first I light up. In the long run it makes no difference where that flavor comes...

    It's cherry season!

Very jealous! The only time I visited Seattle, I lucked out and it was the peak of cherry season. Glutted myself on just the samples from the dozens of stands in and around Pike St. Market.

    real funny Kyle.

You look pleased as punch, PB. Pink vaporizer, week in the New York... next comes the wine tasting and NPR totebag... us degenerate East Coast Elitists will have you playing touch football in a Dartmouth sweatshirt on Martha's Vineyard in no time.

That the painter style? Gold or Black? Any Stargell Stars?

Found fabulous cigar shop in Charleston, SC

I wish my desk looked like that. You're a lucky man, Martin--there's nothing like a fresh-rolled stogie.

    Root briar?

It's a shame you can't buy live root briar. With a little patience and sunshine, maybe a little Miracle-Gro (the secret flavouring in Royal Yacht, I'm told,) your Group 2 pot would grow over the years into a Group 5 stack.

    Carlos has a birthday!

Shoot, I miss all the fun 'round here. Hope you had/continue to have the best of everything, Carlos!

In Manhattan, Bloomy would remove all traffic lanes to make a ducks-only Promenade.

Bug Lovers: The Cutest Wasps Eat Spider Eggs

All the cute WASPs around here eat deviled eggs and vodka-tonics.

    4th of July Smoke?

It's Blockade Runner in a MM cob, and more in a Tinsky if there's time today... artifically limited selection, as I'm on vacation, but a darned American lineup. My subsconscious is a hell of a patriot, or something.

    What are you smoking?

Blockade Runner in a bent cob retrofitted with a Walker Forever stem. That is a sippin' tobacco.
